VISION:

New Prince Shri Bhavani College of Engineering and Technology stands by its motto “Discipline, Devotion and Determination” and strives to impart value-based education to create innovators and to uplift the rural youth to meet the challenges of the society and to attain wisdom through holistic education.

MISSION:

The Training and Placement team of New Prince Shri Bhavani College of Engineering and Technology is exclusively allocated towards achieving 100% placement and organizing recruitment drives for our students and numerous training programs, workshops, seminars, industry interaction are conducted regularly in parallel to overcome the difficulties in interviews. Entrepreneurship development is also encouraged for new job creators apart from job seekers.

PLACEMENT TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

An exclusive Training and Placement cell is functioning for providing continuous placement and training assistance to the students during their course of study. For improving their employability skills like soft skills, technical, analytical and logical skills, they are trained by internal trainers and industry experts for whom the institution has entered into MOU with various training partners.

Apart from training, to enhance the innovative thinking and managerial skills of young minds, they are encouraged to organize and participate in various events like paper presentations, technical symposia and project presentations. In technical arena, the students were given a wide range of Value Added Courses. In order to update the students about industry trends and organization culture, we regularly have industry professionals and experts visiting our campus and interacting with our students.

Placements: Placements are good in our college. More than 1,500 students got placed on campus with an average salary package of 3.6 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Accenture, etc.

The Placement Process constitutes the following:

• The Placement cell would engage on a pre-placement talk with the company on the following items.

• The Job Description will be communicated to the students and interested students register for the drive.
• The company participating for the drive will give a brief presentation to the candidates on the day of the drive.f
• The selection process is undertaken.
• Offer letters are issued to the candidates at the end of the selection process, stipulating the conditions of offer.
• The Placement Cell would continue to communicate with the Company till the final placement of the student.

TRAINING AND PLACEMENT CELL
The placement and training cell of the institute serves as an efficient linkage between the institute and the industry. The main objective of the cell is to focus on the over-all development of the students through training and expert lectures. The cell is functioning with interaction with industrial experts, professional engineers and management consultants. The cell also arranges industrial visit of the faculty members. The students of our institute were selected in various campus interviews like Army-University Entry Scheme, L & T Ltd., I&PCL, Steelcast, Modest, TCL, Zeus Learning etc. The cell is interacting with various companies for recruitment of the students as graduate engineer, trainee, software development engineer or management trainee. The cell looks forward for the placement of the students of all disciplines of the institute. We foresee to join hands with the industrial giants for the placement of the students of all the disciplines of the institute in the new campus.

SGBAU Amravati Placements

SGBAU Amravati offers placement to its students in reputed companies. Students who are interested to avail of placement opportunities have to register on the college placement portal. Candidates who register themselves on the portal will receive the latest job updates.

SGBAU Amravati placement cell invites companies to their placement drive. These companies then conduct pre-placement talks with the students where students can ask queries regarding the company and job profile. Companies then conduct the placement process on the university campus. Students selected are then given the offer letter and have to join the company on the date mentioned in the offer letter.

PLACEMENT TRAINING

The placement cell organizes on-campus and off-campus recruitments and pre placement training programs in aptitude test, group discussions, interviews and presentation. The pre-placement training is embedded in the curriculum from the academic year 2016-17 as follows

• Communication Skill - I and II semester

• Soft Skills - III and IV Semester

• Aptitude - V and VI Semester

Professional trainers are hired to handle the above courses.

Earlier the Pre-Placement training was conducted for a duration of 3 to 6 days during the semester/vacation from the III semester onwards. By introducing pre-placement training as a course in the curriculum, the delivery of the course is steady, the learning is effective and the performance is measurable.

Mock interviews and GDs are conducted from the IV semester to VI semester in the pre-placement training course to face the challenges of recruitment scenario. Enhancement of technical skills such as Programming, Networking, Computer aided design and development etc are made through workshops. The cell motivates the students to get exposed to best industry practices through Industrial training and Internship during their vacations.

Technical and domain related sessions are conducted as Value Added Programs in related domain areas of Engineering to empower the student with the essential skill needed in industry.

From academic year 2017-18 Industry Internship Training program is made mandatory for UG students.

Our Placement Cell acts as a bridge for
our students and recruiters. It monitors the employment opportunities in
various domains and invites the recruiters for campus recruitment of final year
students at our Institute. Students are enhanced with niche skills as expected
by various industries. It is very successful in maintaining high and consistent
placement statistics over the years. Every year, as a result of our students'
stellar achievement in the workplace, we add more recruiters to our roster. The
On-Campus recruitment program keeps continuing till the end of their final
semester. We also support our students with Off Campus Recruitment.

The college offers 100% placements and also internship opportunities with full-time salary packages starting from INR 10 LPA and a monthly stipend from INR 30,000. About Placement Department

The Department of Training and Placement Cell is integral part of Sri Balaji Chockalingam Engineering College. It was set up with a view to facilitate the students to get the employment opportunities in the college campus while they pursue their graduation. This department interacts with reputed organizations all over the country for arranging campus interviews for the placement of final year students. It also enhances the soft-skill capability of the students through regular training programs. The department counsels the final year students for their higher studies and for getting projects from industries.

To coordinate the placement activities the college has a separate Placement cell Headed by Mr.V.Kandasamy. The placement cell manages its activities collectively by the students and all head of departments. The Staff coordinators support in all the Training and Placement Cell activities. They help to conducting programs like communication skill development, Personality development, Technical skill development, etc. Since the time of its inception, the members of the cell have been working on the training and development activities to equip the students to meet the requirements of the recruiting companies.
