The Placement and Training Department headed by Mr.Mohammed Irshad as Head – HR & Corporate Relations. The department is having a small group of dedicated and committed staff. The department is provided with all the facilities to enable the deserving students of the Institution to get competitive placements. Reputed companies are visiting our Institute regularly. As many as 50-60 companies are visiting our Institute & inviting our college for pooled campus recruitments. About 70% of eligible students are placed in reputed companies every year. Placement Department is arranging training right from first semester onwards in Aptitude, Soft Skills & Technical Skills to enable the students to become trainable & employable candidates for campus recruitment program. Many of our students are recruited by reputed companies and are doing extremely good. The department is located in the first floor of "Administrative Block"

SNS College of Technology Placements

The placement cell of the college monitors the employment opportunities available in various domains. It also arranges guest lectures, workshops, seminars, and pre-placement talks to make the students aware of the process as well as the recruiters. Many of the students have placed in major IT, ITeS and core companies. 

To look at the placement statistics for the 2019 batch, the college witnessed participation from more than 200 companies. Given below are the statistics for the same:

Placements: More than 80% of the students were placed in various companies. In top companies like Zoho, Infosys, Tata, etc., students were placed each year. Above 50% of students are taking internship courses. Teachers are making all students smart and good and eligible for the campus interview.

  Placements: In our college, almost 80-85% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA and the average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho, etc., visit our campus. Almost 30% of students get internships.

The team organizes Professional Development. programs like mock interviews, group discussions, pre-placement talks, interactive sessions with industrial experts, case studies etc. and Personality Development programs covering communication skills, presentation skills, career planning etc., on a regular basis to enable the students to acquire the necessary traits to become saleable to industries.

Many reputed national and multinational companies visit our institution for campus recruitment annually because of our high quality research, excellent facilities and talented students. On an average, 75 to 80% of eligible students are placed in last 3 years with CTC between 1.2 to 5lakhs per annum. The alumni of this institute occupy very good positions in business, industry, R&D and academia in India and abroad.

The Placement Cell is an interface between the Corporate world and the students of SCE. It enables the students to make better and informed career choices. The Placement Cell invites industries to share their knowledge and experience with students through guest lectures, workshops, presentations and informal get-together. The Placement Cell also organizes the placement process including Summer training and Final placements. Campus Connect is an Infosys Initiative. It is an Industry -Academic collaboration Program aimed at aligning the engineering students' skill to meet the industry needs. Infosys would be sharing with our college its training methodology courseware, student projects and other such learning resources used for their Foundation Program, that has been developed, practised and perfected by them over last several years. About Training And Placement Cell
The ultimate aim of the institute is not only just creating the engineers, but to eventually producing and delivering working professionals to the industry by imparting employable skill to the students. In order to achieve this objective, the institute imparts soft, managerial and technical skills to students. A placement team consisting of seven qualified professionals has been set up and is functioning under the guidance and direction of the top management and Director/Principal in the process of placement. The management of the institute has resolved and is committed to achieve 100% placement of the students. The Management has stepped forward to frame out long-term strategies to develop and strengthen Institute-Industries Relationship. The campus recruitment/placement process has already commenced. The Institute has also taken initiatives to organize a series of in-house training courses/ workshops/seminars/guest lecturers for imparting extra knowledge and providing exposure, practical knowledge a skill to the student community and faculties.

  College of Engineering, Guindy provides placement opportunities to registered students. The College of Engineering, Guindy placement is managed by the Centre for University and Industrial Collaboration, which provides the infrastructure for group discussions, tests, and interviews, as well as other logistics. The College of Engineering, Guindy placement cell provides advice and organises training programmes for students to improve their communication and soft skills. College of Engineering, Guindy placement cell assists various departments in arranging guest speakers from industry professionals. The placement cell at the College of Engineering, Guindy also organises classes on aptitude tests, logical thinking, domain knowledge, and coding/programming for the benefit of students.

   Registration of Candidates: Interested candidates need to register themselves with the College of Engineering, Guindy placement cell for participation in the placement drive.

   Pre-Placement Talk: The companies interested in recruiting students from the College of Engineering, Guindy visit the    campus and talk to interested students about the company’s work culture, the job role offered by them and their vacancies.

   Shortlisting of Candidates: Candidates interested in the job role are required to share their CV with the company and apply for the job. Further rounds are conducted with the selected candidates, who are shortlisted based on their CV.

  Application Test: The shortlisted candidates are required to appear for a test conducted by the company which tests the candidates on a variety of parameters. 

  Group Discussions: The shortlisted candidates are required to appear for group discussions where they need to talk for or against a given topic.

  Personal Interview: Candidates are interviewed by the recruiting team of the company and candidates need to pitch themselves for the job.

   Job Offer letter: The candidates who have qualified all the above-mentioned rounds are offered a joining letter from the company. Candidates are required to join the company on the date mentioned in the offer letter.
