Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering, Mumbai has a separate training & placement Cell that has been actively involved in recruiting and career counselling for students. The CRCE Mumbai Placement Cell acts as a link between the corporate world and students. CRCE Mumbai placement cell always acted as a compass for students, helping them to identify and improve their abilities, talents, strengths, and limitations. The Training & Placement Cell (TPC) at University College of Engineering, Villupuram (UCEV) was established in the academic year 2010. Operating under the guidance and support of the Dean of UCEV and the Centre for University-Industry Collaboration (CUIC), Anna University Chennai, the TPC is responsible for all placement-related activities. Placement Achievements:

The department placement cell, in collaboration with the university placement cell, regularly conducts training programs to help students acquire the necessary skills. Experts from various fields are invited to enhance students' soft skills, build self-confidence, and improve their technical abilities.

Placement Training:

Our department regularly organizes a Mini Hackathon training contest to test and enhance students' coding skills. Participants showcase their talents in program development, and this training provides them with the opportunity to learn new technologies. Through valuable feedback and advice from faculty members, students are able to refine their ideas and improve their coding abilities.

Google Forms is a free online tool that helps our staff conduct online quizzes to assess students' technical knowledge. By using objective-type questions related to courses studied in previous semesters, staff can evaluate students' understanding. This online method allows students to address any queries and strengthens their technical skills, providing valuable support in securing placements.

TRAINING AND PLACEMENT CELL

Placements: 70% of students were placed in the college. The minimum package of the placement is INR 100k, the average package of the placement is INR 700k, and the maximum package of the placement is INR 1200k. Most of the companies recruiting at this college include TCS, Zoho, and HCL. Human resources and managing director are the top roles offered.

 The Institute has a Placement Cell headed by a staff member holding the rank of a Professor. The Cell is involved in securing placements for students passing out from the institute. The office keeps close association with various industrial establishments, which conduct pre-placement presentation, campus interviews and select student representatives from each department to co-ordinate the placement activities. The Placement Cell provides state of the art infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews. The Placement Cell has a library and a communication lab to enhance the students’ general aptitude and communication skills. A large number of national and multinational companies visit the Institute every year for Campus recruitment. Several reputed companies vie to be the ‘ DAY ONE ‘ company for every academic year.

  Information regarding the campus recruitment process are displayed to the students. It helps students to plan their careers by providing information about the industries which approach the institute. At the beginning of the academic year, a general-body meeting of final-year students interested in placement activities is called. Every month, review meeting is convened to plan the future course of action.

  The cell also co-ordinates the pre-placement activities of sophomore and junior students, and motivates aspiring students to pursue Higher studies with facilities for preparing competitive exams like GATE, TOEFL, GRE, CAT, GMAT etc.

  The “Placement Cell” strives to enhance self employment which is supported by the government by extending financial assistance through banking sector. Further, workshops are organized to bring out.

Placements: Our college provides approximately 60% of placements in different companies. The highest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA in our course, students come to know about different types of skills such as entrepreneurship, data management, software building, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent because of its green environment and mountains side location. The hostel is good to live in, but the mess should need to improve a lot. Wi-Fi facility is not available in our college, but every sim network is good in and around our campus.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, but the course curriculum needs to improve. Semester exams are managed by Visvesvaraya technological University so it is a very good experience to appear in the VTU examination. The syllabus is get updated every 4 years and it enhances its study yearly.

Training & Placement Cell

Training & Placement Cell looks after for Career Planning, Personality Development, Industry-Institute Interaction, Summer Implant Training, Industrial Visits, Entrepreneurship Development, and Guest Lectures & Campus Interviews. To Cater Personality Development aspect of Students, this cell organizes different types of Guest Lectures & Training Activities.

Industry Institute interaction is done through this training & placement cell which provides Industry exposure to the students. In vacation period implant training & industrial tour is organized by the cell through which the students get practical industrial experience. To fulfill the technical human resource demand of industry this cell continuously interact with the industry and organize on campus placement activities for the eligible students, through which students get final placement in the Industry.

Continuous interaction of the cell with the Alumina also helps in achieving the above goals & motivating students to contribute in this direction. This cell has facility of Lingua Phone Laboratory which helps students to improve English Language & Communication Skill. Extra Curricular Activities like Mock Practices & Demonstrations on Group Discussion, Interview Techniques, Communication Skill, Personality Development & Aptitude Development is carried out throughout the year for third and final year Students with the help of Respective Students’ Committees of the different Departments.  To improve the efficiency of Faculties Special Training Program for Faculty is organize in summer and winter semester on key areas like TIME Management, STRESS Management, Teaching Techniques, Communication Skill and Total Quality Management (T.Q.M.) by well-known agencies. A Special Training Program for third and final year Students is regularly organized in summer vacation under the department. Students are trained on Aptitude Test, G.D., P.I. and Communication Skill.    The students in KCT engineering academic journey are carefully taken towards their preparation for the real-time industry experience. STEP 1

Registration for placement: Candidates interested for participation in the placement drive are invited to register for participating in the recruitment drive.

Group Discussion: Students clearing the test will further have to participate in Group Discussion which may be on any topic, it can be a social, political, business-related topic, etc. Candidates have to voice their opinion and present their thoughts in front of the interviewers and showcase their oratory skills. 

STEP 6

Interview: Candidates have to qualify the interview taken by the companies. Interviews namely Technical Interview, HR Interview, etc are some of the interviews taken in order to judge the personality of the potential candidate.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology (SVIT) in Anand offers various placement opportunities to its students.
