The Campus placement activities for Engineering / Management students are regularly carried out for more than 3000 students belongs to UG / PG programmes studying in the University Departments. Every year around 200 companies from India and abroad, visit the academic portals of Anna University Chennai for their prestigious recruitment in their organizations. The campus placement offers three kinds of jobs namely core, dream and IT/ITES placements for the students which cover 95% of the students from Anna University Chennai.
Placement Rate: CEG maintains a high placement rate, with most of the students receiving job offers before graduation. Highest Salary: The highest salary offered in recent years has been around ₹1 crore per annum (typically from international placements in companies like Google). Average Salary: The average salary ranges between ₹6 to ₹12 lakhs per annum depending on the department and the specific company. Internships: Many students also secure internships with top companies, which often lead to pre-placement offers (PPOs).
Placement Process:
Pre-Placement Talks (PPT): Companies conduct PPTs where they brief students about job roles, work culture, and expectations. Online Test & Interviews: Most companies conduct online assessments followed by technical and HR interviews. Job Roles: Students are placed in roles such as software engineers, system analysts, data scientists, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and consulting roles. Support:
