Bharath Niketan Engineering College (BNEC) is a Premier Co-Educational, Non-Minority, Engineering Institution in Tamil Nadu. It is a Private, Self-Financed College under the aegis of Nehru Rural Development (NRD) Educational Trust and was Founded in 1998 by Sri S Mohan, Chairman, a leading and well known Industrialist of Theni District. Bharath Niketan Engineering College is built on the Four Pillars namely - Discipline, Education, Excellence and Placement. The College provides the Students, scope to develop leadership qualities, discipline and professionalism required for an Engineers’ professional work.

Bharath Niketan Engineering College is located on a 20.19 acres of Lush Green Campus on NH-85, Thimmarasanayakanoor, Andipatti, Madurai, Theni District, Tamil Nadu. The closest Railway Station to the College is Aundipatty at a distance of 7 Kms. Madurai Airport is 65 Kms away.

BNEC is an All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, approved College which is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and also has an ISO 9001 : 2015 Certification.

Bharath Niketan Engineering College has an impressive and wide array of Academic Course Options, It offers 5 B.E, 3 B.Tech and 3 M.E in different disciplines apart from a Full Time MBA and MCA option to choose from. There is also one Ph.D program. It has a combined Approved Nett Intake of 534 Students per year. Apart from Scholarships for the Socially and Economically Backward, as per Government norms, the College has Merit Scholarships for high performers in various Mark Bands for performance in Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) in the Qualifying Examination.
