Government Engineering College, Bharatpur (now Engineering College, Bharatpur) is a government autonomous engineering college of Government of Rajasthan in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India. It was established in 2007. At the outskirts of the city Bharatpur, GEC Bharatpur is located in the Golden Triangle (the tourist circuit that connects the national capital New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur) at National Highway No.-21 . It was established in 2007. Since then it has constantly grown with a very fast pace. It is the first government engineering college in the Bharatpur division. The campus is spread over 40 acres.

The minimum academic qualification for admission in B.Tech course is pass in Class 10+2 Science (Class XII) or equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Non-creamy layer OBC/Non-creamy layer MBC of Rajasthan State) in the subjects combination as given below taken together, in the final examination of class 12th Science (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any other examination recognized and equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan(BSER)/Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Govt. Engineering College, Bharatpur has taken the initiative to establish an In-house Soft Skill Training Department for the overall development of their personality
Career Guidance, Personality Development Seminars, Workshops and Guest Lectures are organized regularly to improve the performance of students in the job market. All facets of academia prowess like technical knowledge, aptitude and soft skills, profile requirements and business practices are minutely attended to. Students of the earlier batches have carved out a niche for themselves as assets to the organizations. This fact is reinforced by the enthusiastic response from the corporate world in the form of placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions : The fees structure is flexible to students that cannot affect the students. Students also get scholarships from the government for SC, ST, OBC(BPL), and other state students. Students get scholarships from CH HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME.

LIBRARY
*The College has spacious Central Library spanning a total floor area of about 2500 sq ft. Combining aesthetics with utility, the modern Library houses about 30,453 books, subscriptions to over 37 journals/ magazines & one E-journals and 3042 titles. The Library comes with provision for modern facilities including Stock Section, Reference Section, and Issue Section with advanced computers and other peripherals.

Hostel Facilities
Each student is provided with an almirah, cot, table & chair as well as English & Hindi newspapers. -There is a T.V. & Sports facility (both indoor & outdoor games). There is a house 24 hrs Telephone & Internet facility (Free Wifi on College Campus).We have two boys’ hostels available within the college campus with an intake capacity of 60 students each.One girl’s hostel is available within the college campus with an intake capacity of 25 students.
