Aalim Muhammed Salegh Academy of Architecture (AMSAA)

  Aalim Muhammed Salegh Academy of Architecture was established in 2011 by Alhaj Dr. S.M.Shaik Nurddin who founded Aalim Muhammed Salegh Trust named after his father in the year 1990. It is located at Chennai, TamilNadu.  It is a private, self financing college  affiliated with Anna University, Chennai.

  Combating the inequalities in the accessibility of education, Alhaj Dr. S.M. Shaik Nurddin’s firm belief that education has phenomenal powers to bring about substantial benefits to individuals and the society laid the foundation for the emergence of the Aalim Muhammed Salegh Trust and the group of educational institutions under its umbrage. Dr. Nurddin’s conviction that education is a tool for social change for the betterment of the society is the underlying philosophy that guides the institutions founded by him.   Aalim Muhammed Aademy of Architecture is located in Muthapudupet, Avadi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The campus exudes a pleasant ambience, with students drawn from all the parts of Tamilnadu with a noble vision of reaching the unreached. The college upholds with pride that it has acquired highly qualified and well experienced faculty members.

  AMSAA is much more diverse than many other Architectural Institutions.   Thecollege offers 5 year B.Arch programme for aspiring architects.  The admision to the college is based on entrance exams NATA and TANATA.

  Being a college of architecture, AMSAA provides excellent infrastructure for the benefit of students and staff.  AMSAA profides world class facities when it comes to its Design studios which are lively, Vibrant, and interactive and motivates students to work, concentrate & evolve creative outcomes. Visual connectivity to the nearby lake makes students connect with nature, which gives students a serene design environment. Studio design is flexible for interactive sessions where students collaborate among different semesters. In this way, an interactive design environment is established. 

  The well lit and ventilated Lecture halls are provided for the sole purpose of lectures and seminars. They are equipped with projector facilities and is easy for the instructor to take class and interact with the students at the same time. While the furniture are also ergonomic and classroom friendly.

  AMSAA also provides Well air-conditioned, the furnished audiovisual hall,  fitted with the latest equipment for conducting Lectures, Seminars, Video conferencing, etc. The stepped floor layout provides a better cone of vision for students and acoustically treated surfaces help better audibility of lectures for the students.
  Spacious, Comfortable, and Professional setting of its conference room facilitates panel discussions, presentations, video conferencing, Guest Lectures, etc. An airconditioned conference room with comfortable seating and other essential equipment integrated within promotes its smooth functioning.

  The state-of-the-art Auditorium is a spacious hall with attached balconies and restrooms. It’s designed to host important functions like induction day, convocation and special lectures, etc. The Auditorium is equipped with projector facilities with 6 extra screens for easy view by all the audience. The hall, with  centralized Air conditioning, Acoustical proofing, and different types of interior lighting  provides for a wholesome experience for the audience and the guests.

  Digital library, Climatology Lab, Material Museum, Display hall, Computer lab, Construction Yard, Canteen, Transport facility, sports grounds and separate Hostels for Boys and Girls with all required amenities are the other facities provided by AMSAA.

Architecture college admissions (B.Arch)

Tamil Nadu Architecture

 In Tamilnadu this year 2018, for Architecture college admission (B.Arch.) the students need to appear for National Aptitude Test for Architecture(NATA) / TN-NATA.

  Separate Application form will be issued from Anna University website available till 6th June 2018, the students whoever appeared for NATA only will be considered for admission. The total marks of +2 will be considered for ranking (not your MPC marks) and convert to 200 marks in addition to 200 marks of NATA / TN-NATA.

  Candidates seeking admission to the first semester of the ten-semester B. Arch Degree Program Should have passed the Higher Secondary Examinations of (10+2) Curriculum (Academic Stream) prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as three of the four subjects of study under Part-III with at least 50 percent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and also at least 50 percent marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or any examination of any other University or authority accepted by the Syndicate of Anna University as equivalent thereto.

  Should have passed the 10+3 Diploma Examination recognized by the Central / State Government with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate.

  Notwithstanding the qualifying examinations the candidate shall have passed, he/she shall pass an aptitude test (NATA) as specified by the Council of Architecture in the Minimum Standards of Architectural Education and Regulations.

Placement

   We at Aalim Muhammed Salegh Academy of Architecture arrange campus interviews to get our students placed at various firms. We have taken the initiative and conducted campus interviews, where established architectural firms such as Form Space Order (FSO Architects), Saramuz (Studio MZ Architects), Keechery Associates, Sonne Infrastructure, etc. hired our students. Once initiated, we make sure the campus interview is a continuous process with refinements added each year as per the prevailing market trends. We make sure our students reach great heights in their respective disciplines.

  As per our records, Aalim Muhammed Salegh Academy of Architecture can offer scholarships for the session 2023-24 for various programs. However, you should enquire about scholarships from the college officials. Remember the minimum fee for the program at this institute is Rs.250,000.

  The Library at Aalim Muhammed Salegh Academy of Architecture has around 4060 Volumes of books and nearly 3027 Titles , I5 Nationals & International Periodicals giving extensive reference materials. like, best Thesis, Encyclopedias, Time Saver Standards, Handbooks, National Building Codes and some other references are neatly arranged for ready reference to all students and Faculty members of the Institution.

Material Museum

  Our material museum is a treasure with the display of all the latest available materials and technology in the construction field like different types of laminates, bricks, tiles, stones, UPVC and glass samples with fixing details, etc. 

Display Hall

  Exemplary works of students are displayed in the museum. These displays are our pride possessions. Our museum showcases students’ work to enable juniors to learn from seniors which facilitates knowledge sharing. It is a place for students to experience and rewind their architectural journey on our campus

Computer Lab

 The computer lab is a spacious air-conditioned space with well-equipped computers and a dedicated lab technician.

Canteen

  Aalim Muhamed Salegh Academy of Architecture has a large cafeteria facility that offers its staff and students a wide selection of high-quality food and snacks at affordable prices. 

Sports Ground

  Sports play an important role in grooming a person’s personality and physical condition. To provide a global experience to the students of Aalim Muhamed Salegh Academy of Architecture, a sports environment that meets international standards is made available on the campus. 

Hostel

  Aalim Muhamed Salegh Academy of Architecture offers residential facilities with a wide range of amenities, including separate areas for boys and girls. We create a safe, secure and homey environment within the campus so that students experiencing first time hostel life would feel better. Spaces within the hostel are planned spaciously with good day lighting. 

Transport Facility

  The college provides transportation facilities to all get students and staff from different parts of the city and its neighborhoods to arrive at the college on time. Every student has access to these facilities.
