The institution came into existence on 13 November 1981 under the sponsorship of A.A.N.M. & V.V.R.S.R. Educational Society. The society was established through the efforts of Sri Adusumilli Aswardha Narayana Murthy and Sri Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshadri Rao with the objective of promoting technical and general education and developing skilled youth, particularly from rural communities.
