Education – To train human resource needed for agricultural, agricultural engineering, community science and allied sectors for the development of the State of Andhra Pradesh.

Research – To constantly strive to generate technologies for increasing production, productivity and profitability through interventions in the field of agriculture, agricultural engineering, community science and allied sectors.

Extension – To assist in the process of transfer of technology through the dissemination of knowledge in collaboration with the Agriculture and allied Departments of the Government.

Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) saw a placement percentage of 80% in 2021; in the ANGRAU placement drive, about 60–70 students were placed. The highest package offered was 7 LPA and the lowest package offered was 3 LPA and the average salary offered was around 4.2 LPA.

With a view to attract meritorious under-graduate students to prosecute their study in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering and Home Science up to graduation level, ICAR sanctioned a scheme under which scholarships in these subjects are awarded annually on the basis of merit-cum-means @ Rs.1000/ month.

Some of them include a library, auditorium, cultural events, sports, gym, indoor games such as table tennis, badminton, and a lot more. ANGRAU also provides hostel facilities both for boys and girls. Over 21 boys and 19 girls hostels are available in the colleges of the Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University.
