ACS Medical College and Hospital was started in the year 2008 under the ambit of Dr.MGR Educational and Research Institute by the Founder-Chancellor Dr.A.C.Shanmugam. The Trust owned Medical College offers Medical services to majority of urban and rural people.

The ACS Medical College and Hospital is located in a huge 29 acre campus on Poonamallee High Rd, Velappanchavadi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

ACSMCH is Affiliated to Dr, MGR Educational and Research Institute.  It is Approved by NMC and Accredited by NAAC, NABL, ISO, NABH.

The ACS Medical College and Hospital offers Full Time programs of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at UG and Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Doctor of Surgery (MS) in various disciplines of Medicine at PG level all under one roof. Admission to the college is entrance exam based.  Accepted entrance exams are NEET UG, NEET PG.  ACSMC application process is conducted in online mode only.

ACS Medical College has gallery-type air conditioned Classrooms provided with audio visual equipments and smart board,  well equipped Central Laboratories, Skill Labs, Museum, Central library, spacious classrooms and auditoriums and transport facilities, Food Court/Canteen, Internet connectivity, Seminar Halls, Transport, Anti-Ragging & Gender Harassment and Play grounds with games courts. It has state of art facilities to manage wide range of medical and surgical conditions and well equipped laboratories round the clock. The institute has Clinical, Para-clinical and Pre-clinical departments that provide necessary academic and administrative support. There are four intensive care units available in the institute, namely Coronary Care Unit (CCU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU). The ACS Hospital provides various State and Central government schemes and evening special clinics to provide health care for the people. Admission Procedure

ACS Medical College & Hospital, Chennai, admits students based on NEET scores for MBBS and NEET PG scores for postgraduate programs. The admission process involves qualifying the respective NEET exam, registering for counseling, choice filling, and seat allotment based on merit and availability

• Qualify NEET‑UG.

• Register for Deemed University counselling via MCC (mcc.nic.in) and select ACS Medical College as a preference 

• Seat allotment based on rank, quota and rounds conducted.

• Complete document verification and fee payment once allotted a seat .

• Finalize admission by reporting to college.

Eligiblity

• Must be 17 years old on or before January 31 of the admission year 

• Completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotech, and English 

• Achieved at least 50% aggregate in PCB + English for General category; 40% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates 

• Must have qualified in NEET‑UG, conducted by NTA

MD/MS - 3 Years Course

Admission Process 

• Qualify NEET‑PG.

• Register and participate in MCC PG counselling, selecting ACS under Deemed University category

Placement

As part of the MBBS curriculum, students undergo a compulsory rotating internship at the attached ACS Medical Hospital. This hands-on experience spans multiple departments, including General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Orthopedics. Supervised by experienced faculty, these internships equip students with practical skills essential for their medical careers. Upon completion, graduates are eligible for registration with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council or the Medical Council of India, facilitating entry into professional practice .
