The Founder is Thiru Bangaru Adigalar and the Chairperson is Tmt.V Lakshmi Bangaru Adigalar.AEC is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi as well as by the Govt of Tamilnadu and is affiliated to the Anna University. All the Departments of this College are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) It is a ISO 9001:2015 Certified Institution.

AEC is located in Melmaruvathur, Chengalpet District around 92 kms South of Chennai 0n NH-45 towards Trichy. AEC offers 7 B.E / B.Tech Under Graduate Programs, 5 M.E Post Graduate Programs apart from MBA and MCA. The College also offers 4 Doctoral Programs (PhD)

• Candidates must apply through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) conducted by Anna University. Selection is based on the 12th standard marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Applicants should apply via the Consortium of Self-Financing Professional, Arts & Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu. The consortium prepares a merit list, and students are allotted colleges and branches based on their preferences.

Eligibility:

This scholarship worth Rs. 25,000 is awarded every year by the Sakthi Peedam and Spiritual Center of North America, USA to economically poor students with good academic performance and leadership qualities.

2. Arulthiru Amma scholarship

This scholarship is awarded by Adhiparasakthi Charitable, Medical, Educational and Cultural Trust, Melmaruvathur every year to Meritorious students. This scholarship covers the entire fees either in full or partially according to their cutoff marks in the higher secondary board exam.

3. Full fee concession for SC/ST student

Government is giving full tuition fee concession to SC/ST students whose annual income is less than Rs.2,50,000/- irrespective of the quota in which admitted. They need not pay the tuition fee.

4. Government of India Post matric scholarship to SC/ST students

Students whose parent’s annual income is less than Rs.2,50,000/ – are eligible to get this scholarship. This scholarship is granted to SC/ ST students in addition to tuition fee concession.

5. Higher Educational Scholarship for SC/ST

Under this scheme financial assistance is provided to the SC/ ST Hostel students whose annual income is less than Rs.1 ,00 000/-. An amount of Rs.8,000/- per year will be granted.

6. Adhoc Merit Grants for SC/ST

These grants are awarded to the SC/ST students only by the Director of Collegiate Education, Chennai on the basis of marks secured in Higher Secondary Examination.

7. State Government Post Matric / Free Education Scholarship for BC/MBC/DNC students

This scholarship is awarded by the District Backward Class Welfare Officer to the students of Backward/Most Backward Classes belonging to Hindu religion who have secured not less than 40% in the aggregate in the HSC examination or previous year final examinations of scholarship application. They are eligible to receive concession for special fees, examination fees and allowance for books etc. The annual income to sanction of the scholarship should be less than Rs.2,00,000/-.

8. Tuition fee concession to First Generation graduates

An amount of Rs.20,000/- is given by the State Government to all First Generation graduate students irrespective of the community subject to the condition that their parents annual income should be less than Rs.2,00,000/- and they should have been selected for admission under Government quota through single window system of the state Government /Anna University.

9. AICTE’s Tuition fee waiver scheme

Under this scheme top 5% of students in each branch will be given tuition fee concession of Rs.20,000/- per student of UG engineering courses provided if the candidate admitted/allotted are more than 5% of AICTE’s approved intake in the branch concerned.

10. National Foundation of Teachers Welfare Fund

Under this scheme the candidates whose parents are teacher, will get a scholarship of Rs.5,000/-per year.

11. Merit-Cum-Means based scholarship to Minority students

Muslim and Christian and other minority Students are eligible under this scheme and will get a scholarship of Rs.30,000/- per year whose parents annual income is less than Rs.2,50,000/-. This scholarship is sanctioned by Government of India.
