It plays an important role in developing the nation through the abilities, capabilities, attitudes, knowledge and the way of thinking. It provides skills for a better learning and working environment which are necessary for the citizens of a country. It eminently aims at preparing the students for research in higher education, empowerment in employment and developments in entrepreneurships.
Our Polytechnic College is a State Government Aided Institution that was founded in 1979 by ‘Vidhya Seva Ratna’ Thiru A.D. Jeyaveera Pandian with the initiative of Thiru A.A.D.Jawaharlal Pandian in memory of his beloved better-half, the late Mrs.Dharmambal. Our Former Chairman Late Thiru. A.D. Jeyempandian B.Sc, B.Sc(Tech), was playing a pivotal role in the development of our polytechnic.
It is affiliated to the Directorate of Technical Education and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is managed by A.D.J. Dharmambal Educational Trust and is running efficiently under the continuous guidance, encouragement and support from the management.

Library

In our library totally we have 16921 number of books. We have books mainly in Computer ,Electronics and Instrumentation. And also we have books on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Civil, Mechanical, Management etc.Library will be kept open from 9.30 AM to 5.15 PM. Students and staff members have free access to all books and magazines. In our library we subscribe totally twenty magazines including dailies.We have 2772 volumes on Electronics,4851 volumes on Computer, 793 volumes on Instrumentation, 1553 volumes on Electrical and Electronics, 284 volumes on Information Technology, 2116 volumes on Basic Engg. and 3552 volumes on General Books. Our library is a learning resource centre in which we have audio-visual aids like multimedia projector, over head projector, TV, VCD player etc. which makes our learning in an efficient manner.

Institution's Innovation Council (IIC)
Institution’s Innovation Council was Inaugurated at Seminar hall on 24.02.2023 by Dr.G. Senthilkumar., M.E.,Ph.d., Principal, A.D.J. Dharmambal Polytechnic College by lighting kuthuvilakku. Then principal Dr.G.Senthilkumar., delivered the presidential address, followed by Technical seminar.
i) Green initiatives and sustainable Development by Dr.G. Santhosh, Director i/c centre for energy and environment, Periyar Maniammai Institution of Science and Technology.
ii) Cyber security and safety by Dr.Arun, Department of Bio technology, Periyar Maniammai Institution of Science and Technology.
All second year students of ECE, EEE, ICE, CE, attended and got benefited.
