AGM Rural College of Engineering and Technology came into existence in the year 2010 under the aegis of SDM Jain Matt Trust with the blessings its President Acharya Shri 108 Gundhar Nandi Ji Maharaj.  The Institution was established with the sole purpose of providing quality technical education in various disciplines of engineering.  Since then the growth of the institute has been guided by the proactive response to the fast changing world of technology.  "Motivating students with a sense of purpose is the only way to deliver innovate product and insure the quality to society" are the golden words of the Director Mr.Sandeep Kyatanavar.  His leadership and guidance has transformed AGMRCET and revolutionizing education and has made a positive impact on both Academics and Administration of the College. 

 
The AGM College Campus is grounded in a sprawling 23 acres of land in Navagrahteerth, National Highway-4, Varur, Hubli, Karnataka.

 
AGMCET is Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technical University (VTU), Belgavi and is Approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

 
UG programs in the field of Engineering offered by the College are  B.E. Degrees  in 7 Disciplines including Civil, Mechanical, ECE, EEE, CS & Engg as well as 2 courses introduced in 2023, viz. CS & Engg (AI & ML) and Comp. Science Design.  Admissions to A.G.M College of Engineering and Technology are as per the regulations of Karnataka State Government.  The students have to appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Govt. of Karnataka for CET/Management Seats or ComedK Entrance Test for ComedK/Management Seats or All India Engineering Entrance Test (AIEEE) for Management seats.

Admission Procedure

Admissions to A.G.M Engineering College are as per the regulations of Karnataka State Govt

Our Placement Cell monitors the employment opportunities and arranges campus recruitment process interviews for the final year students and provides internship opportunities for pre-final year students. We start the placement process for the pre-final semester in the month of June. Students are prepared for all kinds of interviews well in advance.
