Admission Criteria

B.E / B.Tech - 4 Year Course

Admission Process

Candidates seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech. programs at ACT must have completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Admissions are conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling process, which is based on the candidates' performance in the qualifying examinations.

Eligibility

• Candidates must have completed 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• Through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling based on 10+2 marks.

M.E - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

For M.E. programs, candidates must possess a relevant B.E./B.Tech. degree and have valid scores from entrance examinations such as GATE, CEETA-PG, or TANCET. Admissions are facilitated through the Tamil Nadu Common Admissions (TANCA) counseling process. Prospective students should apply by filling out the application form available on the ACT website or at the administrative offices.

Eligibility

• B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.
• Based on scores from TANCET, GATE, or CEETA, followed by TANCA counseling.

Ph.D - Eligibility

• M.E./M.Tech or M.S. by Research in a relevant field from a recognized university.
• Candidates must qualify in the Research Aptitude Test conducted by Anna University, followed by a personal interview.

All the classrooms are provided with blackboards, LCD projectors and ICT tools to improve the skills of the faculty and the students. The laboratories are well equipped with state of the art equipment and other resources to meet the requirements of Anna University, AICTE and Industrial trends.There are 850 computers available on the institution campus for both academic and administrative purposes. CCTVs are installed at important places on the campus for increased surveillance. Power backup facility is provided by using 250 kVA Generator and UPS to cater to electric power failures.The Campus is interconnected through a Wired and Wireless (Wi-Fi) Network. Through this, the students can access the internet, intranet and institution-based e-mails. The Wi-Fi is not restricted only to the classrooms but also extends to common areas like the Seminar Hall, Library, Cafeteria, Sports Complex and Hostels. With this Wi-Fi facility, students can access all e-learning materials related to their academics.

Agni College of Technology has its own fleet of buses connecting the campus with different points of Chennai and suburbs for the benefit of the students and staff.
