Admission Procedure

Al-Ameen Engineering College (AEC) in Erode, Tamil Nadu, offers admissions to undergraduate (B.E./B.Tech) and postgraduate (M.E.) programs through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) and Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) processes, respectively.

Admission Criteria

B.E / B.Tech - 4 Year Course

Admission Process

For B.E./B.Tech programs, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing a minimum aggregate of 45% for General category students, and 40% for candidates from Backward Class, MBC & DNC, and SC/SCA/ST categories. Admissions are primarily based on the TNEA counseling process, where students are allotted seats based on their academic performance and preferences.

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination (both +1 and +2) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry combined.

M.E / M.B.A - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

For M.E. programs, applicants should possess a relevant bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks. Admissions are conducted through TANCET scores, with seat allotments made via the counseling process.

Eligibility

• Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology.
• Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Placement

Giving proper guidance to the students in shaping their future is one of the fundamental duties of a college as they are almost near the termination stage of their regular education. Students feel secure when they have the knowledge that there is someone who will guide them to land in right career path after their graduation or post-graduation. There is a dedicated placement cell functioning in the college that helps, guides, and advises students about the opportunities that are available to them. The placement cell of the college is manned by well experienced professionals with proven credentials. Apart from providing information about the available opportunities, also helps them in preparing for the interviews and plays a vital role in their overall personality development.

Scholarship

The scholarship schemes at AAEC encompass both government-funded and private initiatives. Government scholarships include the First Graduate Scholarship, BC/MBC Scholarship, SC/ST Scholarship, and the 7.5% Reservation Scholarship, all provided by the Tamil Nadu Government. These scholarships are awarded based on criteria such as family income, community classification, and academic performance. For instance, in the 2023–2024 academic year, 267 students received the CFG scholarship, amounting to ₹67 lakh, while 129 students benefited from the SC/ST scholarship, totaling ₹33.84 lakh.
