Al-Ameen Medical College in Vijayapura, also called AMC Bijapur, was established in 1984 by Dr Mumtaz Ahmed Khan under the Al-Ameen Charitable Fund Trust with the purpose of providing quality medical education and healthcare to the Muslim community and other underprivileged sections of society.
