Admission Procedure

Admission to AIIMS Rishikesh for undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on performance in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and subsequent online counseling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Candidates must first appear for NEET, and then participate in the online counseling process for seat allotment based on their rank and available seats in the reserved or general categories

• After NEET-UG, admission is via MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) for the AIQ (All India Quota) seats. 

• Reporting to AIIMS Rishikesh after allotment, along with required docs, medical fitness test, etc

Eligibility

• 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. 

• Minimum marks: ~ 50% in PCB for general category. 

• Age: At least 17 years by December 31 of the admission year.

MD/MS 3 Years Course

Admission Process

• Based on INI-CET rank + institute allocation. 

• There is a stray vacancy round (for unfilled seats) – for example, AIIMS Rishikesh’s stray vacancy eligibility requires minimum percentile in INI-CET (50% for UR/EWS; 45% for OBC/SC/ST) for that round

• Must have an MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized university. 

• Usually must have completed the compulsory internship — check specific session’s INI-CET prospectus for deadline.

DM/MCH- 3 Years Course

Admission Process

• INI-SS is typically two-stage: Stage-1 (written test) + Stage-2 (departmental assessment for AIIMS). 

• For example, for the Jan 2025 INI-SS: candidates needed at least 50% marks in Stage-1 to be eligible for open round for some courses.

Eligibility

• Must have completed MD / MS / DNB in the relevant specialty. For AIIMS Rishikesh, their DM/MCh prospectus requires an MD / MS or equivalent.
