About

The Alpha College of Engineering campus is located at 34, Udayavar, Thirumazhisai, Koil St, Poonamallee, Chennai, Tamil Nadu amidst a lush, green and serene area of 60 acres of land.The ACE is affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.   Alpha College of Engineering is ISO 9001:2008 Certified for Academic Standards by the Internationally Acclaimed TUV Suddeutschland, Germany.  The college also received India’s top Higher Education Jury Award for one of the Best 50 Private Engineering Colleges Award – 2023.

The institute offers various UG and PG Degree programs in Full Time mode delivered by experienced faculty at an affordable fee. Students can choose from multiple courses like B.E. / B.Tech, M.E., and MBA in the stream of Engineering, Business & Management Studies.  Admission is done on the basis of national and state entrance examinations such as TNEA and TANCET.The teaching ensures that the students get more exposure on the theory as well as practice through hands on training.  Academic delivery is done through a combination of tools such as – board and chalk, Power point, videos etc.

Admission Procedure

Admissions are primarily granted based on the scores obtained in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling, conducted by Anna University. Applicants need to register online through the TNEA portal, where their marks are normalized and ranked. Shortlisted candidates are then called for counseling sessions during which seat allotment is done based on merit, category, and availability of seats. For postgraduate programs like M.E. or MBA, candidates must have a relevant bachelor’s degree and valid scores in entrance exams such as TANCET.

• Admission is primarily through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling conducted by Anna University.
  
• Candidates can also apply directly to the college under the Management Quota, adhering to government norms.

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects.

M.E / M.B.A - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

• Admission is based on scores obtained in GATE or CEETA-PG.
• Admission is through counseling conducted by Anna University based on TANCET scores.

Eligibility

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology.
  
• Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration from a recognized university.
  

Scholarship

Placement

The training domain consists of the most eminent corporate trainers, assisted by identified Department faculty training coordinators. Right from the first year of their study, all students are given training in Soft Skills and Communication Skills, verbal & Non-verbal ability, etc which are built into their regular timetable itself. There is a well-equipped Communication Lab where students are administered training in Communication Skills. CDC organizes various training programs for the students both by the in-house faculty and corporate trainers from market leaders such as - Ethnus, Futurenet etc.on various technical aspects along with a briefing on present market scenario, throughout the academic year.

The campus Placements activity at ACE is effectively headed by an experienced and eminent Professor Sujatha K. S.,in every academic year, Companies will start to visit ACE from the month of September for recruitments. Students are placed in top MNCs including the IT sector as well as Core industries.
