Admission Process

• Candidates must have passed Class XII (10+2) from a recognized board.
• For B.Des. Fashion Technology and Textile Design, the current minimum is 50% aggregate in Class XII.
• For B.Des. Fashion Design, the current non-sponsored requirement is 55%, while the sponsored category is 50%.
• For B.Des. Fashion Communication, the current non-sponsored requirement is 60%, while the sponsored category is 50%.
• The aggregate is calculated using English and three academic subjects, and the candidate must have passed all Class XII subjects.

M.Des

Admission Process

• Candidates need to submit the online application form through Amity University.
• Applicants are shortlisted after checking their academic eligibility.
• The selection process for M.Des. includes a Personal Interview (PI).
• Candidates are assessed on their academic background and suitability for the Fashion & Textiles programme.

M.B.A

Admission Process

• Applicants begin by submitting the online application form for MBA (Fashion Management).
• Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria are called for the university’s Personal Interview.
• Applicants may also submit qualifying scores from accepted management entrance examinations.
• Accepted exams include CAT/XAT, NMAT, MAT, GMAT and CMAT, subject to the prescribed scores.
• Final admission is offered after the selection process and verification of documents. 

Eligiblity

• Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required.
• For the non-sponsored category, accepted scores include CAT/XAT 75 percentile, NMAT 200, MAT 500, GMAT 500 or CMAT 150.
• For the sponsored category, the corresponding minimums are CAT/XAT 65 percentile, NMAT 150, MAT 450, GMAT 450 or CMAT 100.
• The MBA (Fashion Management) programme is 2 years in duration.

Ph.D

Admission Process

• Candidates must submit an application for the Ph.D. in Fashion programme.
• Eligible candidates appear for a subject-based written test conducted as part of the selection process.
• Candidates who qualify are called for a Personal Interview.
• The interview assesses the candidate’s research interests and suitability for doctoral study.
• Final admission is based on the prescribed selection process and fulfilment of university requirements.

Eligibility

• Candidates should have a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Fashion Design, Fashion Technology or Fashion Management.
• Relevant areas also include Textile Design & Technology, Merchandising and Fashion Communication.
• A minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade point average is required in the Master’s degree.
• Candidates with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree and at least 75% / 7.5 CGPA may also be eligible to apply directly for Ph.D. admission.
• The Ph.D. in Fashion is offered in areas including Fashion Design, Technology and Management.

Merit Based Scholarship

Amity University Uttar Pradesh offers scholarships to academically meritorious students, subject to programme specific eligibility and the university scholarship policy. Scholarships may be available based on Class 12 marks, qualifying examination scores and other specified criteria. The 2026 prospectus states that eligible students must apply within the prescribed admission period and submit the required documents. Scholarship availability is limited and is generally offered on a first come first served basis. The final grant is subject to verification and approval by the Scholarship Committee. 

Scholarship for International Boards

Students who have completed Class 12 through International Baccalaureate or Cambridge International A Level may also be considered for scholarships. CUET Based Scholarship

Amity University also provides scholarship opportunities based on CUET 2026 performance for eligible programmes after Class 12. The 2026 prospectus mentions scholarships of up to 100 percent for candidates meeting the prescribed CUET percentile and Class 12 requirements. The scholarship is applicable only to eligible programmes and has limited seats. It is generally applicable for the first year and does not automatically continue in subsequent years. Candidates must also fulfil the programme specific eligibility requirements.
