Admission Procedure

Admission Criteria

BDS Admission

Under the Dentistry Department, Amrita School offers a full-time BDS course for the duration of five years. Applicants who have passed Intermediate/ 10+2 in Science stream from a recognized board are eligible to apply for admission

MDS Admission

The school offers MDS program in nine specialties. In order to get admission to the MDS program, the candidate is required to meet the given eligibility criteria:

• The candidate is required to hold the BDS degree from a recognized Dental college.
  
• Final selection will be based on the rank obtained in the common entrance test held at the national level.

Dental Mechanics Admission

Full-time Diploma in Dental Mechanics for the duration of 2 years is offered by Amrita School of Dentistry. Candidates who have completed HSC with Physics, Biology, Chemistry and English are eligible for admission.

Eligibility

• Candidates can apply online for admission to any course. Payment of application fee should be done online only. Applicants have to apply separately for each course.
  
• Those who have passed 10+2 with minimum 60% marks collectively in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English are eligible for admission to BDS course.
  
• For MDS program, applicants must have completed BDS from a recognized university.
  
• The applicants who have passed 10+2 are eligible to get admission in Diploma in Dental Mechanics.
  
• Admission to BDS is given on the basis of NEET-UG score while MDS admission is offered through NEET-PG.
  
• Diploma admission is granted on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination and performance in the interview round.

• Assessment of Intelligence: A deficiency in intelligence can be a major reason for poor performance at school, or other activities of daily life. Using standardized procedures, we assess the intellectual ability of the person and try to understand the level at which he or she is functioning.
  
• Assessment of Personality: This service helps to identify personality traits underlying various psychiatric conditions and personality disorders.
  
• Diagnostic Clarification of Psychiatric Disorders : This service aids in the diagnosis as well as the severity of an underlying psychiatric disorders using standardized diagnostic materials such as Rorschach Inkblot Test, Thematic Apperception Test, Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory and rating scales.
  
• Neuropsychological Assessments: This service primarily aims at understanding the various functions of the brain by a detailed assessment using standardized neuropsychological tests. It is useful in planning intervention and rehabilitation strategies and tracking improvements in functioning.
  Online & In-person Psychotherapy/ Counselling Services.
  
• Therapeutic services aim at addressing and improving the psychological health of persons through interventions that supplement but do not use medications.
  
• Relaxation Training: Relaxation techniques help a person to relax; to attain a state of increased calmness and reduce levels of anxiety, stress or anger.
• Our sports facilities are available to all local residents, students, and schools, encouraging everyone to get involved in physical activities and sports. Free Access for All We proudly offer complimentary access to our sports facilities, allowing everyone to enjoy a range of athletic opportunities without any fees.
• The Child care facilities at University was established in 2009 under the UGC scheme for providing child care centres in the universities. Located in the second floor of Nalanda building, the day-care centre has ample amenities, hygienic, healthy and full-time work force. Taking into account the need and convenience of the staff & students, the day-care centre functions from 8am to 6pm.

Transport

The location is well-connected by road and rail, with Ernakulam Railway Station around 10 km away and Cochin International Airport approximately 25 km from the campus, making travel easy for outstation students.
