Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus, commonly known as Amrita Chennai, is a private, multi-disciplinary deemed-to-be university campus located in Vengal, Thiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was founded under the guidance of Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma), who is the founding Chancellor. The university was established in 2003 as a deemed-to-be university, while the Chennai campus was inaugurated on July 29, 2019, initially offering undergraduate engineering programmes.
