Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences, commonly known as ANIIMS, is a government medical college located in Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Established in 2015 under the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Medical Education and Research Society (ANIMERS), ANIIMS was founded with the objective of improving healthcare education and services in the island region. ANIIMS is situated at Atlanta Point in Port Blair, adjacent to the G.B. Pant Hospital. Admission Process

• NEET-UG Qualification: Candidates must appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and obtain a valid score.

• Application Submission: Eligible candidates must submit their applications through the official Andaman & Nicobar Islands Common Admission Portal: www.collegeadmission.andaman.gov.in.

• Counseling and Seat Allocation:

  • All India Quota (AIQ): 17 seats are allocated through online counseling conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC).

  • State Quota: 97 seats are reserved for candidates from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, including 10 seats for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and 87 seats for other categories. These are filled through counseling conducted by the Andaman & Nicobar Administration. 

  • Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must undergo document verification during the counseling process.

• Seat Confirmation: Candidates must confirm their seats by joining the allotted institution within the specified time frame.
