Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences, commonly known as ANIIMS, is a government medical college located in Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Established in 2015 under the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Medical Education and Research Society (ANIMERS), ANIIMS was founded with the objective of improving healthcare education and services in the island region. Admission Process

• NEET-UG Qualification: Candidates must appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and obtain a valid score.

• Application Submission: Eligible candidates must submit their applications through the official Andaman & Nicobar Islands Common Admission Portal: www.collegeadmission.andaman.gov.in.

• Counseling and Seat Allocation:

  • All India Quota (AIQ): 17 seats are allocated through online counseling conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC).

  • State Quota: 97 seats are reserved for candidates from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, including 10 seats for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and 87 seats for other categories. These are filled through counseling conducted by the Andaman & Nicobar Administration. 

  • Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must undergo document verification during the counseling process.

• Seat Confirmation: Candidates must confirm their seats by joining the allotted institution within the specified time frame.

Eligiblity
