Admission Procedure

Anna University Regional Campus – Coimbatore offers admissions to various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs through structured processes managed by the Centre for Admissions (CFA) of Anna University.

Admission Criteria

B.E / B.Tech - 4 Year Course

Admission Process

Admissions to the B.E./B.Tech. programs are conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling process.The selection is based on the TNEA merit list, which considers the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility

Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing a minimum aggregate of 45% for general category and 40% for reserved categories.

M.E / M.B.A - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

• Admissions are through the Common Engineering Admission Procedure (CEAP), which includes candidates with valid GATE scores and those who have appeared for the CEETA-PG examination conducted by Anna University.
• Candidates seeking admission to MBA programs must appear for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). The selection is based on TANCET scores followed by counseling.

Eligibility

• Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  
• A minimum of 50% marks is required for general category candidates; 45% for reserved category candidates.
• A Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration is required.

Placement

The campus's dedicated placement cell provides comprehensive support, including training programs, mock interviews, and internship opportunities, to prepare students for successful careers in both core engineering and IT sectors. Overall, AURCC offers a strong return on investment for students seeking quality education and promising placement prospects.Undergraduate programs have also seen robust placement outcomes. In B.E. Computer Science and Engineering, approximately 85% of students were placed, with salary packages ranging from ₹3.37 LPA to ₹6.7 LPA. The overall median salary for B.E./B.Tech programs stands at around ₹3.16 LPA.

Scholarship

1. BC/MBC/DNC Scholarship

• Eligibility: Students from Backward Classes (BC), Most Backward Classes (MBC), and Denotified Communities (DNC) with an annual family income below ₹2.5 lakh.
  
• Application: Apply through the Tamil Nadu State Scholarship Portal.
  

2. SC/ST Scholarship

• Eligibility: Students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Castes Arunthathiyars (SCA), and Scheduled Tribes (ST) with an annual family income below ₹2.5 lakh.
  
• Application: Apply through the Tamil Nadu State Scholarship Portal.
  

Anna University Regional Campus - Coimbatore

The University Library, which has been established in the year 2007 in school of management studies. It is located at the south wing of the new campus building. The total area of the Library building is about 4700 sq.ft. Central Library is a true reflection of Anna University, Regional Centre, Coimbatore culture of excellence which is known in India. Central Library during the year continued to march its mission of facilitating the creation of new knowledge through the collection, organization and dissemination of Information. It offered many knowledge-based services like that of Reference services, Resource sharing, Online journal service, Online Data Base, CD-ROM Databases, Internet browsing and e-services are provided by the library for its users. “ Healthy Mind and Healthy body” the department of Physical Education part of our University Sports board. Right from inspection it has been outstanding not only in academic side it has been in the sports and games activities. We have take part Zonal, Inter zonal tournaments and also to organize zone ,inter zonal level completion both men and women. Department of Physical education encouraging and promoting the sports spirit of the students community. The department equipped with necessary facilities and equipment’s.

Transport

While AURCC does not offer transport to and from the campus, Anna University promotes sustainable transportation within its campuses.
