AMCET is situated in a sprawling green campus of 25 acres along the National Highways where many of the Government Buildings, Commercial Buildings and Hospitals are located. The college campus is located on NH-46, Chennai - Bengaluru National Highways, Arappakkam Vellore, Tamilnadu, India.

Currently the Annai Mira College of Engineering and Technology is an institution affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. The college has the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

AMCET offers courses like B.E. and B.Tech in the field of Engineering.  It also offers a PG program in Management namely MBA.  The accepted Exam for admission into the college for the UG programs is TNEA/CBSE 12th.

Admission Procedure

Admissions to undergraduate programs are based on performance in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling, while MBA admissions consider academic merit. The fee structure varies by program, with undergraduate courses approximately ₹2.2 lakhs and the MBA program around ₹41,000.

Admission Process

• Admissions are conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling process, based on the candidate's 12th standard marks.
  
• Candidates must register for TNEA and participate in the single-window counseling conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE).

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination (Tamil Nadu HSC or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

• Based on TANCET scores, Anna University releases a rank list.
  
• Shortlisted candidates are called for online counseling.

Eligibility

• Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Candidates must appear for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by Anna University.

Placement

AMCET aims to match the requirements of the Corporate World with the aspirations of the students thereby facilitating the achievement of synergy between the two. There are various Placements activities that are conducted throughout various semester to make them industry ready.

At AMCET, it is our belief that experiences of corporate leaders provide invaluable earning to the students of engineering and managements a Series of Motivational Talk has been designed to serve as a forum for exchange of intellectually stimulkationg ideas between business heads and future managers through the seminar format. Internship play a major role in gaining hands-on experience at various industries.

There is a well equipped Training department which facilitates training related to employability skills at all levels. Over the year AMCET campus placements has seen a upward marching graph while longing for better placements in Core industries.

About 80% of elegible students from the circuit branches are placed every year. Students have brought laurels to college by securing their positions in defense sectrors- Indian Navy and Indian Army. Government and AICTE Scholarships

1. Post-Matric Scholarship (Tamil Nadu Government)

Eligibility: Students belonging to BC/MBC/DNC/SC/ST categories with an annual family income not exceeding ₹2,50,000.
Benefits: Scholarship amounts are awarded as per government norms for each year of study.

2. Pragati Scholarship (AICTE)

Eligibility: Female students from families with an annual income below ₹8 lakh; a maximum of two girl children per family can apply.
Benefits: ₹50,000 per annum for every year of study.

3. Saksham Scholarship (AICTE)

Eligibility: Differently-abled students with a disability of not less than 40% and an annual family income below ₹8 lakh.
Benefits: ₹50,000 per annum for every year of study.

4. Higher Educational Special Scholarship (Tamil Nadu Government)

Eligibility: SC/ST students with an annual family income not exceeding ₹2,50,000.
Benefits: ₹8,000 per annum as per government norms.
