Annai Mira College of Engineering and Technology (AMCET), Vellore is an Engineering College started in 2012 under the R.T. Educational Trust, Vellore.  The foresightedness and able guidance with the efficient administration of Mr. S. Ramadoss, The Founder & Chairman, AMCET along with the resourcefulness of Mr. G. Thamothiran, The Secretary & Treasurer have ensured that the college is growing into a premier institute offering Top class education to aspiring youth in the fields of Engineering and Management.

AMCET is situated in a sprawling green campus of 25 acres along the National Highways where many of the Government Buildings, Commercial Buildings and Hospitals are located. The college campus is located on NH-46, Chennai - Bengaluru National Highways, Arappakkam Vellore, Tamilnadu, India.

Currently the Annai Mira College of Engineering and Technology is an institution affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. The college has the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

AMCET offers courses like B.E. and B.Tech in the field of Engineering.  It also offers a PG program in Management namely MBA.  The accepted Exam for admission into the college for the UG programs is TNEA/CBSE 12th

Admissions

ADMISSION TO B.E/B.TECH COURSES:

The candidate should have passed the twelth standard of Tamil Nadu H.S.C. (Academic) or an equivalent examination recognised by Anna University with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The Candidate should have passed the Diploma Examination in Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu or an equivalent examination for direct admission to second year (Lateral Entry).

Number of appearances, minimum marks and other criteria for admissions to B.E / B.Tech courses are as per AICTE and State government norms.

The engineering aspirants who meet the above mentioned eligibility criteria can process the admission through either

• Management Quota
• Government Quota

What is Management Quota Admission?

Management Quota admission is Direct admission which means without participating in the single window TNEA counseling conducted by DOTE Anna University . The management reserves 35% of the seats for direct admission.

Management Quota Admission Procedure:

1) Candidates are required to fill out the application form and submit it along with all the required documents at the administration office/admission cell of our college.

2) The admission is provided on a first-come-first-serve basis by checking the eligibility of the candidate.

3) For securing a management quota seat, the candidate has to pay a 50% of the fees prescribed by the AICTE, New Delhi, and Anna University at the admission cell of our college.

4) After paying the fees the Management quota seat will be confirmed for your desired Programme/ Course.

B) GOVERNMENT QUOTA

What is Admission Through Government Quota:

We are an Anna University-affiliated institution, Therefore Minimum of 65% of seats are reserved for Government Quota. The seats are filled through single-window online counseling conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education(DOTE).

AMCET aims to match the requirements of the Corporate World with the aspirations of the students thereby facilitating the achievement of synergy between the two. There are various Placements activities that are conducted throughout various semester to make them industry ready.

At AMCET, it is our belief that experiences of corporate leaders provide invaluable earning to the students of engineering and managements a Series of Motivational Talk has been designed to serve as a forum for exchange of intellectually stimulkationg ideas between business heads and future managers through the seminar format. Internship play a major role in gaining hands-on experience at various industries.

There is a well equipped Training department which facilitates training related to employability skills at all levels. Over the year AMCET campus placements has seen a upward marching graph while longing for better placements in Core industries.

About 80% of elegible students from the circuit branches are placed every year. Students have brought laurels to college by securing their positions in defense sectrors- Indian Navy and Indian Army. We also take pride in sharing some of the best placements of Companies likes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Core Organizations.

Our College proposes to celebrate the Mira Academic Excellence Awards every year, an event to honour the Students and Faculty Members who have scored high and given good results in Anna University Examinations with cash bonus and awards. We have been celebrating this event from 2016 by inviting the eminent personalities as chief guest like Vijay TV Fame Mr. Neeya Naana Gopinath, DGP Law and Order Dr.S.
