Annai Vailankanni College of Engineering (AVCE) is a private, self-financing, co-educational Engineering College established in the year 2008 by Dr. D. Peter Jesudhas, Founder Chairman. The College functions under the Annai Vailankanni Educational & Charitable Trust.

Annai Vailankanni College of Engineering is part of a 10 Acre Campus. The college is surrounded by an array of green-clad, sky scraping mountains of the Western Ghats. The weather is cool and breezy with clouds drifting high over the mountains giving frequent drizzles. It is near Pothaiyadi Salai, Kanyakumari, the southernmost town in India. AVCE is about 8 Kms from the Kanyakumari and is located at Pottalkulam Malangarai Road, Post, Azhagappapuram, Tamil Nadu.

AVCE is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Admission Procedure

The admission process at AVCE is conducted through both government quota and management quota. For the government quota, admissions are based on the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling process, which considers the marks obtained in the 10+2 examination. Candidates interested in the management quota can apply directly to the college by downloading the application form from the official website, filling it out with the required details, and submitting it along with the necessary documents and application fee. The college offers a range of engineering disciplines, and the annual tuition fees are approximately ₹55,000 for undergraduate programs and ₹60,000 for postgraduate programs.

Government Scholarships

1. Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST Students: Offered by the Government of India, this scholarship provides financial assistance to SC/ST students. Residential students can receive up to ₹9,860 per annum, while day scholars may receive up to ₹5,350 per annum. Eligibility requires an annual family income of less than ₹1,00,000.

2. State Government Scholarships for BC/MBC Students: These scholarships offer ₹2,470 for residential students and ₹1,920 for day scholars. Applicants must have an annual family income below ₹50,000.

3. Scholarship for SC/ST Converts: Available to SC/ST students who have converted to other religions, this scholarship provides ₹5,780 for residential students and ₹4,480 for day scholars. Eligibility requires an annual income below ₹50,000.

However, for the benefit of the students attending special classes, a bus will depart at 5.30pm.
