Annapoorna Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Established in 2011, is a premier Institute in Tamil Nadu.  AMCH is run by VMRF Trust, and founded by Salem based Educationist and Philanthropist (Late) Dr. A. Shanmugasundaram (Founder Chairman), who has been its guiding force of energy.

Annapoorana Medical College & Hospitals is a modern Medical Institution located on  Salem - Kochi Hwy, Kombadipatti, Tamil Nadu 636308 with the nearest railway station Salem Jn (SA) and the nearest airport being Chennai International Airport.  It is situated amidst a scenic and serene atmosphere on NH-47, 16 kms from Salem city.  The college offers beautiful landscape within the sprawling campus of 45.4 acres to provide proper study environment for their students.  It also has a fully functional hospital within the campus with huge number of beds for treatment of patients and also used as a practical learning ground for the MBBS students.

AMCH is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University and started with approval from Ministry Of Health and Family Welfare Govt.Of India (vide Letter No. MCI-34(41)/2011- Med./16449, Dated:08/06/2011).  It has been approved for the final Recognition / Approval for the award of MBBS degree 150 Seat u/s 11(2) of IMC ACT 1956 as per the ‘Notification issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India’ under the direction of Board of Governors in Supersession of Medical Council of India and approved by MOHFW, Govt. of India, New Delhi, dated 16.05.2019.  Letter of Permission to start Post Graduate Courses in Five Specialties for the Academic Year 2022-2023 been approved u/s 26(1)(a)(b), 28(1)(2) and 61(2) of the NMC Act 2019, as per the National Medical Commission- National Assessment and Rating Board (MARB), New Delhi dated 18.08.2022.

Admission Procedure

The admission process for Annapoorna Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Salem involves qualifying for the NEET UG exam for MBBS and NEET PG for MD/MS programs. Candidates then participate in Tamil Nadu state or All India Quota counseling

MBBS-5.5 Years Course

Admission Process

• Appear and qualify NEET‑UG, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

• Register for and participate in Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling, conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu .

• Document Verification and seat allotment based on merit.

• Pay fees and complete admission formalities at the college

Eligiblity

• Must have passed Class 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.

• General category: Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB; 40% for SC/ST, and 45% for OBC‑PwBD candidates .

• Age requirement: Must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31 of the admission year .

• NEET‑UG qualification: Mandatory to appear and qualify .

• Open/private board candidates are generally not eligible (as per NMC/DCI regulations) .

Admission Process

• Qualify NEET‑PG conducted by NBE.

• Register for Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling, held by the Tamil Nadu Combined Entrance Committee (TCEC) or equivalent authority.

• Go through document verification, seat allotment, and fee payment .

• MBBS degree (or provisional MBBS pass certificate) from an NMC‑recognized college.

• Registered with NMC or State Medical Council (permanent or provisional).
