Apollo Animal Medical Group Trust (AAMGT) was established in 2003.  This Trust established Apollo College of Veterinary Medicine, Jaipur (Rajasthan) in the same year with broad vision, mission and mandate.  ACVM, Jaipur (2003) is a pioneer institution in private sector, imparting quality Veterinary education in India.  It is the first private Veterinary College not only in Rajasthan but in the whole of India.  

 

Apollo College of Veterinary Medicine is located in the capital city of Jaipur, popularly known as Pink City, Chetak Vihar Colony, Baldeogarh, Jaipur, Rajasthan.   ACVM campus is spread over 6 acres of land and is well connected by rail, road and air.

 

The college is affiliated with the Rajasthan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS), Bikaner and is recognized by Veterinary Council of India, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India.  The College follows course-curriculum as per Minimum Standard of Veterinary Education-2016 prescribed by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) New Delhi, with emphasis on disease of bovines including sheep & goats, camel, equines, poultry and companion animals to meet specific requirements of the state.

 

ACVM offers five and half year Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandary (B.V.Sc. & A.H.).  This course includes one year of Internship as per guidelines of the Veterinary Council of India. The ACVM students, on successful completion of undergraduate studies, are being bestowed with B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree by the RAJUVAS, Bikaner.  The College strictly adheres to updated VCI Course Curriculum (MSVE-2008).  Candidates have to appear for the Rajasthan Pre-Veterinary Test (RPVT) / NEET for admissions.

 

The three storey building is available for Teaching, Research and Extension Education with most modern Clinical, Para-clinical and Production departments. On each floor of building there are five wings, each of which houses an independent department with Sitting rooms, Research Labs, Store and Office Accommodations.   Five lecture halls are spacious to accommodate 100 students each provided with audio visual aids, good lighting and sitting facilities.

 

ACVM possesses well equipped spacious laboratories with highly qualified and experience faculty members of national and international repute. Admission Process

The B.V.Sc. & A.H. is a Five and half year duration (Four and half year course work and one year of Internship as per guidelines of the Veterinary Council of India) as specified in MSVE-2016 of Veterinary Council of India New Delhi.

The ACVM students, on successful completion of undergraduate studies, are being bestowed with BVSc & AH degree by the RAJUVAS, Bikaner. The College strictly adhere to updated VCI Course Curriculum (MSVE-2016).

ELIGIBILITY:
VCI Eligibility Norms for Admission to B.V.Sc.& A.H. Programme.
Selection of the students for admission in the college will be done according to the guidelines mention in MSVE-2016. The details information is mention in the link : ( Eligibility Criteria)

A. Candidates must have attained minimum age of 17 years as on or before 31- December of the year of admission.

B. Candidates must have qualified the Senior Higher Secondary School (10+2) or its equivalent examination conducted by a Statutory Board.

C. A candidate under General Category for admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree course shall have to qualify in each of the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and obtained 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects, at the qualifying examination and admission of students to B.V.Sc.and A.H. degree course shall be made only on the basis of his or her merit in the competitive entrance examination and no other merit or weightage shall be considered for admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree course.


D. In respect of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes or other special category of students as specified by the Government from time to time, marks required for admission shall be 5% less than that prescribed for general category i.e 47.5 % and where the seats reserved for the Scheduled Caste and the Scheduled Tribes students in any State cannot be filled for want of requisite number of candidates fulfilling the minimum requirement prescribed from that State, then such vacancies shall be filled up on all India basis with students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes obtaining not less than the minimum prescribed pass percentage. .

E. A candidate shall not be allowed admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree course including those admitted under 15% reserved quota of Veterinary Council of India if he or she suffers the following disabilities, namely:-: (a) disability of total body including disability of chestorspine more than 50%, (b) disability of lower limb of more than 50%, (c) disability of upper limb, (d) visually handicapped candidates and those with hearing disability, (e) candidates with progressive diseases like myopathies etc. (f) disabilities which otherwise would interfere in the performance of the duties of a veterinarian.


F. The disability shall be certified by a duly constituted and Government authorized Medical Board comprising of at least three specialists out of which two shall be of the specialty concerned and the candidate has to present him or her-self before the Medical Board and the last valid disability certificate of the candidate from a Medical Board shall not be more than three months old from the date of submitting his or her certificate for disabled candidates.

G. Candidates who have appeared in any of the aforesaid examinations but results are awaited prior to NEET are given provisional admissions, subject to fulfilling above stated pre conditions.

Scholarship

Merit Scholarship will be given to the students of ACVM securing first five positions in the university examination held by RAJUVAS, Bikaner. Holder of 1st Position will be awarded with certificate and cash prize of rupees five lac, 2nd & 3rd Position with cash prize of rupees one lac and 4th & 5th Position with cash prize of rupees fifty thousand.

College-Building : A.C.V.M.
The Apollo College of Veterinary Medicine (ACVM) Jaipur, has generated MSVE-2016 facilities for teaching B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses and maintained VCI standards of education. It has 17 fully equipped and operational departments, including VCC and LFC, a well equipped library with repographic facilities, 5 lecture theatres, examination hall, seminar hall, administrative block, hostels for boys and girls, faculty staff quarters, indoor and outdoor games facilities and other ancillary facilities including computer lab to get a the needs of an operational Veterinary College.

The Departments are dedicated to Clinical, Para-clinical, Livestock Production, Management & technology besides Extension. Whereas, Veterinary Clinical Complex (VCC) and Livestock Farm Complex (LFC) are housed in separate buildings under independent control with status of a department. The departments have been created primarily as teaching units with inbuilt provision for service to the livestock and livestock owners.

Livestock Farm Complex
LFC is an independent facility supervised by the HOD, LFC with the support of Farm Managers, LPM, Animal Breeding, Medicine, Gynaecology, Nutrition & Poultry faculty members and department of Clinics provide the input in planning, organizing and managing day to day activities at the farm. A committee has been constituted for the purpose. Practical exercises for LPM courses are conducted in the livestock farms.

The LFC is a seat of learning while working. It imparts hand on training & practical orientation to the ACVM students, on various aspects of Livestock Management of food & other domesticated animals & poultry. The LFC comprise of following operational Livestock farms.

Veterinary Clinical Complex
VETERINARY CLINICAL COMPLEX (VCC) constitutes a integral part of ACVM academic activities. It provides hand on training & experience to senior student on clinical aspect of animal disease as well as clinical service to the sick animals visiting ACVM, while integrating the clinical activities & training in the speciality of departments ofVeterinary Medicine, Gynecology, Surgery & Radiology besides modern diagnostics services including portable X-ray for large animals, still X-ray for small animals, Ultrasonography, Inhalant anesthesia, electrocautery, Automatic Electrocardiography (ECG) and Multiparameter monitor, microscopic demonstration & serological detection of the pathogens attributed to animal diseases. Oflate the TVCC has attained a status of a recognised Referral Clinics for complicated cases visiting veterinary Polyclinics/Hospitals in the state.

Mobile Ambulatory Clinical Services: An ambulatory van fitted with essential tools, medicines for the outdoor treatment at the door steps of livestock owners in rural areas. The ambulatory clinic is under the leadership of the Director and is operational all the 6 days a week & caters health care needs, animal production consultancy to the households located in rural areas in the 25 km. radius of the college. It also accord an opportunity to understand field problems faced by the Livestock owners & finding solutions thereof by the team of ACVM experts besides a surveillance upon emerging problem on profitable animal farming.

Includes centralized blood & body fluid chemistry, parasitic and microbiological evaluation, post mortem & histo-pathology, X-Ray, ultra-sonography & pregnancy diagnostics under one roof, extended to indoor & outdoor veterinary patients, referral cases by field veterinarians, State Veterinary hospitals, Entrepreneurs etc. at a nominal cost. Consequently the TVCC has been quite popular and regularly generating funds to tune of Rs 3,40,000 p.a, through consultancy, diagnostic/hospitalization and indoor care of sick animals.

Our institution provides a separate hostel facilities within the campus for boys with AC and Non-AC Rooms with the requirement of the students. Our aim is to provide students an affordable, homely and safe environment.

APOLLO COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE

The Hostel has accommodation for about 200 students.. The rooms are allotted on sharing basis among two students. A separate furnished bed, study table & chair is provided to each resident partner of a room. In addition, cupboard, Ceiling fan, Air Coolers, light fittings, curtains, etc. are provided in each room. Cleaning is done on daily basis by the house keeping staff. The washrooms are separate from the rooms within the hostel.

Mess
The Students are provided with tasty and hygienic food in the Morning, Afternoon and Night. The Dining Hall can accommodate about 70 Students at a time.
Playground
The college takes pride in possessing a large playground in the campus. This facilitates the students to inculcate their athletic faculties at their best in athletic meet and games like football, cricket, volley-ball etc and we have facility for indoor games such as Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis and Badminton.
