Arifa Institute of Technology (AIT) is a Top Class Engineering College in Tamil Nadu. The college was formerly known as Haji Sheik Ismail Engineering College, and was originally launched to serve the community in 2013. Later, it was revived as Arifa Institute of Technology in 2018. The College is under the aegis of Haji Sheik Ismail Educational & Charitable Trust.Dr M Sulthanul Arifeen is the Founder Chairman & President, Arifa Groups, UAE & India & Mr Harun S is the Chairman - AIT. The objective of establishing the College was "Transforming Dreams into Realities"

Arifa Institute of Technology campus is set on an expanse of 14 acres in size. It is located in Esanoor, Keezhaiyur (PO), Nagapattinam (Dist), Tamil Nadu,which is situated about 15 kilometres from Velankanni, which is known for the Holy Shrine - Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health. Nagapattinam Railway Station 25 Kms from the College, while Thirukkuvalai Bus Stand is 7.8 Kms and Tiruchirapalli Airport is 123 Kms away from the College Campus.

AIT has its approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked the college at 42, among Engineering Colleges in India. The College is ISO 9001:2015 Certified.

The College offers 4 B.E and 3 B.Tech Academic Courses in different disciplines. Arifa Institute of Technology, offers scholarships and financial aid to students. These scholarships are based on merit, need, or other criteria set by the University.
