A R S College of Engineering was founded in the year 2009 by Prof. Dr. S. Arunachlam. B.E., M.sc.,[Engg], Ph.d., M.I.E., M.I.W.W.A., M.I.S.T.E., Former Professor & Syndicate Member of Anna University, Chennai with the aim of providing quality higher education on par with international standards.  ARSCE is a premier institute dedicated to the task of producing elegant engineers. A college designed to provide students with world-class engineering and management education adapted to the specific needs of India and other developing countries in Asia. It seeks to prepare its graduates to achieve the highest standards in all branches of the profession, keeping in focus the trend and thrust of convergence in the field of engineering, and the consequent demands for multiple skills made on the contemporary engineers.

ARS College of Engineering, Chennai is a renowned university known for its excellent infrastructure and facilities. The 15.15 acre campus is spread over a vast area in a lush green campus with many trees and open spaces.  The campus is located in a small village called Sattamangalam, in Maraimalai Nagar in the outskirts of  the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

A leading institute in the city, ARSCE offers 9 courses of Degree in Full Time mode.  They offer courses like M.E./M.Tech, MCA, MBA/PGDM, B.E. / B.Tech in fields of Engineering, IT & Software and Business & Management Studies.  The Institute gives opportunity to gain professional level expertize through its trained and experienced faculty in the fields of Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering.  The admission is based on both merit and entrance exams such as TNEA, CAT/ GATE, TANCET.

Admission Procedure

ARS College of Engineering, located in Chengalpattu near Chennai, offers admissions to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs through a structured process aligned with Anna University's guidelines. For B.E./B.Tech courses, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). Admissions are conducted via the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling, which is based on the candidates' 10+2 marks.

Applicants need to register for TNEA through Anna University's official portal during the application window, typically from May to June. Post-registration, candidates participate in counseling sessions where seat allotment is based on merit and preferences. After seat allocation, candidates must verify their documents and pay the requisite fees to confirm admission

• A pass in the HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in the relevant subjects. Minimum Eligibility Marks

M.E / M.B.A / M.C.A - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

• For postgraduate programs like M.E., MBA, and MCA, admissions are primarily merit-based.
• The application process involves filling out forms available on the college's official website or admission department, submitting necessary documents, and paying the application fee.

Eligibility

• M.E Candidates with a pass in B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical/ Automobile / Production / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering / Mechatronics / Marine Engineering Candidates with a pass in B.E. / B.Tech. (Civil)
• Candidates who have completed their BCA, BBA or B.Tech can apply for the MCA course. Candidates who have done their graduation in science can also apply for this course with having Mathematics as a subject in their 10+2.

Scholarship

One of the primary scholarship avenues is through the Combined Counselling Board (CCB), which provides financial aid ranging from ₹60,000 to ₹2.5 lakh, depending on the course and its duration. Students interested in this scholarship must apply online and participate in an online counseling process. It's essential that the college is associated with the Combined Counselling Board Tamil Nadu.

The central library of the college is equipped with more than 75,000 books, a large number of Indian and foreign journals and an excellent collection of light reading material. The library also has a large collection of CD’s on technical and management subjects along with the required electronic and digital equipments for the use of staff and students. The library has internet connections for referring to e-journals and to listen to video lectures from other institutions The library functions from 8.00 am till 12.00 midnight on all days. The library is spread over an area of 3,500 sq.ft, consisting of book sections, reading rooms, audio and video rooms.The collage has excellent facilities for outdoor games such as cricket, foot ball, volley ball, and shuttle and indoor games like table tennis , carom and chess . There is a 400-metre athletic track for the benefit of the students. A fully equipped gym is available in the college campus. A beautiful swimming pool is provided in the college.

Transport

The college buses, vans and cars are available for student’s emergency services, student affair, hostel needs and collage needs. A regular bus is operated from maraimalai nagar Railway station to the college premises for the benefit of visitors.
