A R S College of Engineering was founded in the year 2009 by Prof. Dr. S. Arunachlam. B.E., M.sc.,[Engg], Ph.d., M.I.E., M.I.W.W.A., M.I.S.T.E., Former Professor & Syndicate Member of Anna University, Chennai with the aim of providing quality higher education on par with international standards.  ARSCE is a premier institute dedicated to the task of producing elegant engineers. A college designed to provide students with world-class engineering and management education adapted to the specific needs of India and other developing countries in Asia. ARS College of Engineering, Chennai is a renowned university known for its excellent infrastructure and facilities. The 15.15 acre campus is spread over a vast area in a lush green campus with many trees and open spaces.  The campus is located in a small village called Sattamangalam, in Maraimalai Nagar in the outskirts of  the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility for B. E. / B. Tech

A pass in the HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in the relevant subjects. Minimum Eligibility Marks

Candidates of HSC (Academic) and Other Equivalent Examinations

Any degree passed with 50% of marks.

Eligibility for M. E.

M.E CAD/CAM: Candidates with a pass in B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical/ Automobile / Production / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering / Mechatronics / Marine Engineering

 M.E. STRUCTURAL : Candidates with a pass in B.E. / B.Tech. (Civil)

Eligibility for M.C.A

Candidates who have completed their BCA, BBA or B.Tech can apply for the MCA course. Candidates who have done their graduation in science can also apply for this course with having Mathematics as a subject in their 10+2.

Other State Candidates eligible criteria

• Students who have studied 8th,9th,10th,11th and 12th Standard in Tamil Nadu(Candidates do not need to enclosing Nativity Certificate with in Application form.)
• At least Five years serving in Tamil Nadu Central Government Employees Sons and daughters also apply for Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions.
• IAS Officers Sons and daughters [Tamil Nadu Cadre (All India Service)] are eligible.
• At least Five years serving in Tamil Nadu Government recognized Institutions Employees Children may also apply for TNEA
• At least Five years serving in Tamil Nadu Public Sector Employees Sons and daughters also apply.

CENTRAL LIBRARY:

The central library of the college is equipped with more than 75,000 books, a large number of Indian and foreign journals and an excellent collection of light reading material. The library also has a large collection of CD’s on technical and management subjects along with the required electronic and digital equipments for the use of staff and students. The library has internet connections for referring to e-journals and to listen to video lectures from other institutions.

The library functions from 8.00 am till 12.00 midnight on all days. The library is spread over an area of 3,500 sq.ft, consisting of book sections, reading rooms, audio and video rooms.

SPORTS, GAMES &GYM FACILITIES:

The collage has excellent facilities for outdoor games such as cricket, foot ball, volley ball, and shuttle and indoor games like table tennis , carom and chess . There is a 400-metre athletic track for the benefit of the students. A fully equipped gym is available in the college campus. A beautiful swimming pool is provided in the college.

MEDICAL FACILITY:

A well equipped medical centre is available in the campus for the students with a resident doctor. Students are also provided Ayurvedic treatments to maintain a good health

HOSTEL AND DINING:

Every effort has been made to provide the best facilities for students who live on campus. Every student has access to a wide range of activities, facilities and support. ARSCE has four multistoried hostel blocks  which can accommodate more than 500 students and a well designed hostel for women with a capacity of 500 students.

Agym facilityis also attached with a well maintained swimming pool. Free washinig services are provided in well maintained high technology washing areas.

TRANSPORT:

The college buses, vans and cars are available for student’s emergency services, student affair, hostel needs and collage needs. A regular bus is operated from maraimalai nagar Railway station to the college premises for the benefit of visitors.
