Thiru. N.T.S. Arumugam Pillai, our founder, hailing from Tiruppattur, a socially and educationally backward area, migrated to Malaysia to earn his fortune and became a business magnet and rose to eminence in Malaysia. The King of Malaysia honored him with the highest title of the country, namely AMN in recognition of his generosity and philanthropy. Following the footsteps of their ancestors, our President Thiru.N.Vasantharajan has brought tremendous pride to our institution as he has been bestowed with the prestigious Dato award by the Malaysian Government. Adding a Gem to the Crown, the International Achievers’ Conference, New Delhi, has honored our beloved Secretary Thiru.N.Rameswaran with International Achievers award.

Holding the conviction that education is the key to open the doors of upliftment, he started this College in July 1965 and thereby brought the unknown and unheard Tiruppattur in the educational map of Tamilnadu. Born out of his benevolence, our College has made it possible for the poor people of Tiruppattur to gain access to the portals of higher education. The magnificent building like a temple, speaks of the noble and selfless desire of our beloved founder that this citadel of learning could withstand the test of time and cater to the educational needs of the poor and downtrodden of Tiruppattur and its neighborhood century after century. But for this College, it would not have been possible for the people of Tiruppattur especially women to get higher education.

Admission is available to all the courses of our college purely on the basis of merit. Candidates proficient in sports and other curricular activities will be shown special consideration in the matter of admission. Admissions are now open for the academic year 2023-24 and application forms will be issued from the second week of May-2023.

Completed application forms with the Xerox copy of the mark sheet should be submitted within 10 days from the publication of results. Prospective students need to register their applications along with a self addressed envelope. Communication will be sent only to those who are provisionally selected. The Provisionally selected candidates will have to present herself along with her parent/guardian for interviews with the admission coordinator on the date mentioned in the intimation card. Selected candidates have to produce one passport size and two stamp size photographs, mark sheets, transfer and conduct certificates and any other document that may be required by the college in original at the time of admission. This provisional selection is automatically cancelled if the candidate fails to turn up for the interview on the date and time mentioned. Candidates who are applying for revaluation must notify the same to the College at the time of admission.

All admissions are provisional and subject to the approval of the Alagappa University. Separate applications must be submitted for each course. For fees and other details contact the co-ordinator of admissions at the college office.

The career guidance cell placement was found to be very active as more number of companies conducted campus interview for the final year students, namely

 Eureka Forbes, T.Nagar, Chennai conducted the campus interview on 24.02.2014. About 29 students were selected and placed in various jobs.

 Integrated Enterprise(India) LTD., T.Nagar, Chennai conducted the campus interview on 27.02.2014. About 7 students were selected and placed.

 Priya Fire Safety Equipments, Avadi, Chennai conducted the campus interview on 02.04.2014. About 2 students were selected and placed.

 Reliable Business Solutions and Services Pvt. Ltd., Velachery, Chennai conducted the campus interview on 02.04.2014. About 14 students were selected and placed.

Library

The Library was established in the year 1965.The constant growth of library with study materials and infrastructure is possible because of our President and our Secretary for whom “Library is a nerve centre of any educational institution”. Our college Library has a good collection of text books, reference books, competitive examination books and CDs collections. College Library plays a vital role in the development of user’s community by enhancing the cause of education and academic research. The College library is fully automated. MODERNLIB software has been installed with the following three modules for the library in-house operation using Barcode Technology.

Computer Center

The college provides highly sophisticated computer center with dedicated internet connectivity.This provides an opportunity for excellent hands-on experience on latest Pentium machines and latest software tools.

Laboratory

The college has well equipped Laboratories for subjects such as Zoology, Botany ,Chemistry,& Physics.

Canteeen 

We have a canteen for the students and staff. Food items, snacks, tea, coffee and soft drinks are supplied at subsidised rates.

Auditorium

Vasantha Arangam is the auditorium of our college, which can accommodate about 1500 students at a time. College day and other important functions and meetings are conducted here.
