As-Salam College of Engineering & Technology (ASCET) a premier Engineering and Technology College in Tamil Nadu was established in the year 2009. It is a Private, Self Financed, Co-Educational Institution under the management of As-Salam Charitable and Educational Trust. Dr M Ravichandran is the Principal of the Institution.

The college is located in a lush green environment. The location of the college is well known for Tamil Nadu Rice Research Institute and there are many pilgrim centers such as Nagore, Velankani, Thirunallaru, Soriyanar Koil etc. with rich cultural and heritage values which are visited by lakhs of people of all religions. The students of this college are to strive for excellence both in their search for knowledge and skills and in the pursuit of success in life, in terms of their commitment to bring happiness to the fellow beings and for the development of our Nation. The College is situated at Thirumangalakudi, Aduthurai, Thanjavur District. It is 2.5 Kms from Aduthurai Railway Station and 71 Kms from Tiruchirapalli Airport.

The college has received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and its affiliation from Anna University, Tiruchirappalli.

ASCET offers 4 B.E and 2 M.E programs in various disciplines. As-Salam College of Engineering and Technology offers scholarships from the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Government of India like T N Govt First Graduate Scholarship, TN Govt BC & MBC Scholarship, TN Govt SC & ST Scholarship and more. All scholarships are subject to norms and qualifying criteria.

ASCET has a good Infrastructure and Facilities within its Campus for the benefit of the Students and others. Good and Spacious Classrooms, separate Computer Labs for all disciplines, Hostels for Students with allied facilities within, Cafeteria, Sports and Games Facilities, Wi-fi enabled campus, a well stocked Library, Language Lab, College owned Buses for commuting purposes, Parking Facilities, NSS, Medical facilities, Cultural Activities and more form the various facilities and activities on the campus.

Admission Procedure

Admissions are primarily conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling process, which typically opens applications in May. The TNEA process includes application submission, random number assignment, certificate verification, grievance redressal, and counseling sessions. The college's counseling code is 3855, which applicants should use during the TNEA process.

Admission Process

• Admissions are conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process. Candidates must register on the TNEA portal during the application window, typically from May to June.
  
• Counseling: After registration, candidates participate in the TNEA counseling process, where seat allotment is based on their 10+2 marks and community reservation norms.

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (HSC) examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subjects, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies.

M.E - 2 Year Course

• Candidates must apply through the respective examination portals (GATE or TANCET) and participate in the centralized counseling process.
  
• The college offers around 36 seats annually across its M.E. programs.

• Candidates must have a relevant B.E./B.Tech degree with at least 50% aggregate marks.
