It is a Private, Self-Financing, Non-Minority, Co-Educational Institution under the aegis of Krishna Charitable Trust, Mettupalayam. The College was established in the year 2013.The Trust was established with an objective of establishing, Educational institutions in various fields like Engineering, Medical, Paramedical, Nursing, Dental, Electronics, Communications, Computer Applications, Technical, Academic, Arts and Science, Business and Management, Vocational, Sports and Games, Teacher training, and such other Educational fields. The trust members have rich experience in the area of academic, industry, business and agriculture.

Asian College of Engineering & Technology is located at 294/2 Asian college road, Kondayampalayam, Near Saravanampatti, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on a 17 Acres Campus which is on the outskirts of Coimbatore City. The area is semi urban and relatively quiet when compared to the City. The College campus is around 22 Kms from Coimbatore Junction Railway Station as well as from Gandhipuram Main Bus Stand and 17 Kms from Coimbatore International Airport.

Asian College of Engineering & Technology is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is accredited to Anna University, Chennai. The college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in A++ Grade. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has ranked the College at 42 in the Engineering category for 2024. The College has been accorded Institution of Eminence status by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

Admission Procedure

Admissions are merit-based and coordinated through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling system, managed by Anna University.TNEA counseling allocates seats across participating colleges, including ACET. Once a candidate secures a seat, they receive a counseling allotment letter.Diploma holders can apply laterally into the second year by submitting their diploma certificates and meeting relevant eligibility thresholds .
