Admissions are conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling, based on the normalized aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (Mathematics: 100, Physics + Chemistry: 100). Alternatively, candidates can apply directly to the college under the management quota.

Placement

Founded on the “Win – Win” principle, placement division of AVCCE is the vehicle on which valued relationships and collaboration between the college and corporate community are formed thereby promoting partnerships between business and education.

The Training and Placement cell is headed by the Placement officer and assisted by the placement coordinators from the departments. The placement officer is regularly kept in touch with the corporate to identify their needs and expectations. He is also acting as like a liaison officer between the companies and institute. Placement Cell at AVCCE is providing ample opportunities for the young minds to sharpen their intellect and to mould soft sills through regular training programmes, interaction with leaders from industry and academia and industry interface through industrial visits and projects.

The college boasts a central library housing approximately 42,000 books and 120 national and international journals. The library is equipped with an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) system and a dedicated section for educational CDs and DVDs. Various laboratories, including chemical and computer labs, are available to facilitate practical learning experiences. Seminar halls and an auditorium are also present for academic and extracurricular events, A health centre is available on campus, equipped with first aid and bed facilities, and offers round-the-clock ambulance services. For fitness enthusiasts, a gymnasium with sophisticated equipment is accessible to both male and female students.

Transport

Our Transport department well engaged with eleven buses for the benefit of staff and students. Further Tamilnadu government state Transport Corporation, Kumbakonam, operates a special bus exclusively for students both in the morning and evening. A separate college bus is operating for the benefit of students and staff coming from Chidambaram, Kumbakonam, Thiruvarur, Porayar, Thiruvengadu and various surrounding areas.
