A.V. Kamalamma College for Women, Davangere, a premier educational institution, is dedicated to the cause of women’s education,thereby ensuring a better future for women. The college was established in 1967, with generous donation from Smt. Kamalamma, wife of Sri AjjampuraVirupakshappa, after whom the college was named. It has played a pivotal role in imparting education to women of Davangere. It is affiliated to Davangere University, Karnataka and runs Arts, Science and Commerce Courses, providing education to more than 2000 and odd students every year.College is accredited with NAAC “A” Grade by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.02 in 2017. College is recognized UGC with 2(f) and 12(B) certification. Our college imparts education by keeping Rabindranath Tagore’s saying that “The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence” as a guiding principle. The vision of the college has to go beyond the classrooms, hence we at AVK college exhort our students to invest their time on the campus by balancing curricular, sports and co-curricular activities in a judicious proportion. Eligibility for Degree admission

1. Any Candidate who passes in Karnataka II PUC or Intermediate, or any other equivalent, recognized by the any University.
   
2. Candidate should also satisfy all other conditions set by Davanagere University.
   
3. Foreign national and candidates who have passed the Class - XII or equivalent examination abroad, must obtain their Eligibility Certificate from Davanagere University for securing Admission.

1. The A V Kamalamma College for Women is affiliated to Davanagere University facilitates the admission process of prospective students by offering to them required counselling and guidance to help them select the right course.
   
2. The admin team guides students in processing their applications for admission in the selected course. Admissions are finalised only after completion of all formalities and after the submission of required documents.
