Ballari Institute of Technology & Management (BITM) was established in the year 1997 under the management of Tungabhadra Education Health & Rural Development Trust (T.E.H.R.D. Trust). The institute was established with the objective of providing global standard education and to create opportunities for the youth of the country to shine in the fields of Engineering & Technology and Management. The Governing body of BITM has shown its mettle, as its members are pooled in from various professions such as academicians from IIM, IITs, Industrialists, Medical & Software professionals and Chartered Accountants. The institute has highly proficient and devoted faculty members who shoulder the responsibility of shaping the outlook of the students in a broad and intellectual manner. The institute provides a challenging atmosphere where students can prepare themselves for meeting futuristic goals with confidence.

 
The BITM campus spread over 11 acres of greenery, with eco-friendly surroundings, has facilities that are a class apart, combining aesthetics with modernity.  It is located strategically in the “Jnana Gangotri” Campus, Bellary-Hospet Road, Near Allipur, Bellary, Karnataka.

 
Bellari Institute of Technology and Management is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum.  It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The institute has been accredited by NBA and has been conferred ISO 9001:2008 certification.  BITM is an institution comprising of many feathers in its effervescent cap!! Armed with the ISO certification, BITM matches the demanding international standards by creating and implementing a quality management system.

Ballari Institute of Technology & Management offers under graduate programs B.E. degrees in five disciplines and post graduate programs MTech in five disciplines. The courses offered by the institute are:

The eligibility for admission to BE is through Common Entrance Test / COMED-K/ AIEEE.  MTech/MBA/MCA Students have to take the entrance test conducted by the PGCET/MAT/CAT The institute offers several scholarships and awards to the deserving candidates based on their performance.

Scholarship

The college provides various scholarship opportunities primarily funded by the government, such as the Vidyasiri scheme and the Epass scholarship, targeted at students based on caste and academic performance. Scholarships range from approximately Rs. 17,000 to Rs. 75,000 annually, with SC/ST students receiving higher amounts. Merit students can also avail scholarships, but the college does not sponsor its own scholarships. Additionally, the college facilitates the application for government scholarships like NSP and SSP, offering up to Rs. 50,000 for eligible students.

Loan facilities are available through banks, although the college itself does not offer loans. Tuition fees for government seats range from Rs. 91,000 to Rs. 98,000, while management seats can cost between Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 4.15 lakh per annum, depending on the course. Hostel fees are around Rs. 65,000 to Rs. 75,000 annually. Scholarship application is encouraged online, and students are responsible for applying through the respective portals.

Our first & basic moto at Training & Placement cell is to make students aware of the corporate behavior & what are the basic requirements that companies look for. Once students understand T&P culture slowly, we start engaging them in training on Soft Skills, Aptitude & Technical as mentioned below.

Facilities Offered @ Ballari Institute of Technology and Management, Bellary

The BITM Knowledge Centre is a cutting-edge academic hub spread across 1,100.96 square meters, designed to offer a modern, high-tech, and user-friendly learning environment with a seating capacity of 500. Fully automated using EasyLib software and RFID technology, it enables seamless user autonomy through self-checkout kiosks and a 24/7 book drop facility. The centre boasts an extensive collection of over 103,000 volumes and 76 print journals, along with a vast range of digital resources—including 12,499 e-journals and 26,970 e-books—accessible via the VTU Consortium. In addition to supporting traditional academic needs, it serves as a valuable resource for MOOCs and competitive exam preparation. Equipped with Wi-Fi, a dedicated E-Resource Centre, remote access tools, and ample electrical charging points, the Knowledge Centre provides a comprehensive and tech-enabled learning experience, catering to nearly 200 active users daily.

The Classroom benches and windows are cleaned and mopped every day and have very good cross ventilation and ergonomically designed benches for human comfort. In case of any damage to the items, the class mentor brings it to the notice of the HOD. Physical director conducts Sports & Games, maintains the sports facility including stock verification as per the planned schedule. In case of any damage observed, the same is recorded in the register pending further action including replacement. RO Systems of capacity 500 LPH (05 Units), 50 LPH (10 Units) with 41 Drinking water coolers are installed in all the buildings to cater for safe drinking water and are under AMC

Hostel

The Institute has Separate hostels for Boys and Girls are located in the college campus under the name BGI Hostels which an home away from home for the Hostel Students.

• There are three blocks namely Tunga, Bhadra, and Krishna for Boys and Kaveri, Nethravathi exclusively for Girls. The hostel is elegantly built with spacious rooms, nearly 735 boys and 930 girls have opted for the hostel.
  
• Students can also opt for the Girls Hostel namely RR Block located in the city. It is purely optional for the Girl Students.
  
• The Campus is on the verge of having International Girls Hostel with a capacity of 160 inmates equipped with best of the best facilities for the students.
  

Transport

BITM provides bus facility for students and staff members and it covers every look and corner of the City. College owns fleet of 16 buses equipped with safety features fire extinguishers, First-aid Box and speed governor. Opting for College Bus transport will enable safe transport and convenience.
