Bangalore College of Engineering and Technology was founded in in the year 2000 by Bangalore Educational Trust to impart quality education in a stimulating and innovative environment where students are empowered with knowledge and professional skills while upholding the values of integrity, tolerance and mutual respect.  Since its inception the Bangalore Educational Trust has promoted education in the areas of Engineering & Technology, Nursing and Education.  BCET is one of the leading Teaching and Research Institutes which strives towards providing education that inspires students.

The Bangalore College of Engineering and Technology campus is spread over a sprawling 26.01 acres of land area is located near to Electronic city Opposite Heelalige Railway Station, Hosur Road, Chandapura,Bengaluru, Karnataka.  The College is just 1km from Hosur main road deviation. The college has established very good rapport with industries and a majority of the students do their project work in these industries.

This 24 year old institution that comes under COMEDK and CET Karnataka is affialiated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and recognized by Government of Karnataka.

Admission Procedure

Admissions in BCET are made on the basis of marks scored by the applicant in KCET and COMED-K. Admission is further followed by the counseling. During the Counseling process, documents of the applicants are checked. If the applicant fails to provide any of the required documents, admission to the college is rejected and the seat is given to the next applicant on the list.

BCET Bangalore admission is based on the merit scores of students from the latest qualifying exam or course-level entrance tests that it accepts. At the UG level, the Institute has a range of programmes. These are offered in a range of fields, such as engineering, business, and planning. The institution offers courses in association with Visvesvaraya Technological University.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

BE: Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board with a minimum of 45% with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subjects, they also must have English as one of the languages of study to be eligible for admission, and selection of candidates is based on the merit scores achieved in KCET/ COMEDK UGET.

MBA: Candidates must have graduated from a recognized university/college to be eligible for admission to the college, and selection is based on the merit scores achieved by students in the last qualifying examination.

Scholarship

The meritorious and economically backward students get scholarship to pursue their education in this institutions. The scholarship by way of fee concession is given by the institution to all the students allotted by the State Government and Central Government. Scholarships are also considered to the deserving candidates under other categories by the management as appropriate.

Students admitted under the reservation category for SC / ST / OBC can seek scholarship for the fee payable to the insitution from the State Government, subject to their eligibility as notified by the government from time to time.

Students who had applied for scholarship to the Government authorities and Other outside Bodies shall verify the status of their refundable amount after the fee adjustment
