Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) was established in the year 1979 with an objective of providing quality education in the ?eld of technology and thereby serving the society. BIT has an intake of 1452 students. BIT has 13 R & D centres, centre of excellence in each department, Incubation, startup, Idea lab, Skill development and other supportive and nurturing centres. These centers help faculty and students to carry out interdisciplinary research and collaborative programs in association with organizations like Bosch, Mistral, UnicornMark, GTURNS Data Consultants Pvt., Ltd and many more. BIT also has the acclaim of being the study center for IGNOU programs. BIT is proud to have 262 qualified teaching faculties. BIT Bangalore, Admissions for B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech and MBA courses are open. Candidates need to apply on the official website of Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT Bangalore).

To apply to BIT Bangalore, candidates have to apply offline. The application form will have to be downloaded from the official website of the institute, filled out, and sent to the Registrar of Visvesvaraya Technological University. Besides, an application fee of 800 INR will also have to be paid in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of ‘Finance Officer, VTU, Belagavi’.

Bangalore Institute of Technology was started in the year 1979 and the institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).

BIT Bangalore offers admission to the B.Tech course under 9 specializations and JEE/KCET qualified candidates can apply for admission to the course.

Further, the institute also offers admission to the Post Graduation courses along with the Research programmes.

Admission to M.Tech is done through GATE. However, candidates may also appear in PGCET in order to get admission in M.Tech conducted by VTU.

Candidates seeking admission in MCA and MBA will have to appear in PGCET/KMAT/CMAT. Admission in the Ph.D. programme is done through VRAT.

Every year the enrollment process for placements begins when students come to pre final year. Each department will have one faculty and two student coordinators to facilitate training and placement activities. The coordinators organize mock test and group discussion in their respective classes. External trainers are invited to train the students on solving the aptitude, prepare for group discussion, interview facing skills and technical skills. Experts from the varied industries are invited to give guest lecture on the latest technologies. Every year more than three hundred reputed companies are invited to visit our institution to recruit our students for internship and full time jobs.

Several companies send their assessment form to assess our institute before they visit for recruitment. We provide all the required information to the companies. Based on the information provided, companies visit our institution for campus recruitment. BIT Campus

BIT is situated at the center of Bengaluru and has a beautiful campus spread over 5.3 acres. It is well connected by road and metro. The campus is very close to K R market, Tippu palace, Gandhi bazar and Basavanagudi - some of the historically important areas in Bengaluru. Campus life is extremely important in students’ life. Campus Discipline
Wear ID card issued by the college.
Ragging is a criminal offence and not permitted in any form. If anybody indulge in such activities legal action will be initiated.
Involving in any anti-social activities, any act or deed which will defame the state, nation and institution are severely punishable.
Eve teasing, any act to defame the dignity of girls (physically or verbally) smoking, consumption or distribution of alcoholic drinks or any kind of hallucinogenic drugs, etc. invite the legal punishment as per the rules and regulations of the government.
Any other activities such as unauthorized fund rising, damage to the institution property considered by the college as of gross indiscipline are punishable.

Hostel:
Hostel is like a family of students from all corners of the country. Students develop a sense of friendship and fellow feeling. It will not be an exaggeration to say that hostels in BIT campus provides a room for an all-round development of students besides serving hygienic food.



Canteen:
College canteen is one of the most happening places in the campus. Of course, it is known for its savory food, but it is also the place where students make some of the best memories of their college life. In BIT campus one can find two canteens at the main entrance and at the back entrance catering all possible varieties of food. Both the canteens are hygienic and well maintained.

Health service:
Health Services can create an environment of support by providing students with knowledge to deal with an acute or chronic illness. A sense of support can lessen the students’ anxiety when they are ill, which may decrease the discomfort of a physical malady. Treatment for illness and a supportive environment facilitates a quicker recovery, which may enable the student to return to class and course of studies in a timely manner than they
would otherwise. BIT believes in this and has taken the responsibility to provide primary health support. Students of BIT get adequate support in this regard from the sister concerned institution- KIMS hospital which is also housed in the same campus.

Canara Bank has a branch and ATM counter in the campus. It is in the First floor of the main building. Students can open the account easily by fulfilling the common requirements of the bank.
