Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (Autonomous) BIT is an Autonomous, Self-Financing, Top Line Engineering College in Tamil Nadu. The Bannari Amman Educational Trust, established the Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BIT) in 1996. The chairman of the group, Thiru. S.V. Balasubramanian, is the promoter of the Institute. Thiru. B Saravanan, Dr M P Vijayakumar IAS (Retd) and Padma Shri D R Kaarthikeyan are Nominated Members by the Trust, all of who form part of the Governing Council.
