Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT) is a private engineering institution which is located in the city of Mangalore, Karnataka, India. The institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka and was established in 2009.

The college offers B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering), M.Tech (Master of Technology) and Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) programs under various specializations to its students.

Admission in Bearys Institute of Technology to the B.E. program is done on the basis of the rank secured by the candidates either in JEE main examination or KCET.
Admission to the M.Tech program is done either through GATE or Karnataka PGCET.
Admission to the Ph.D. program is done on the basis of performance of candidates in Written Test followed by a Personal Interview round.
For B.Tech, candidate must have secured 10+2 with minimum 45% marks.
For M.Tech, candidate must have secured minimum 45% marks in B.E. or B.Tech degree in relevant discipline.
Admission to Ph.D. is done if candidate have a master’s degree in relevant discipline.

Training and Placement Cell at Bearys Institute of Technology guides students to become competent professionals with domain knowledge and skills to meet their career aspirations and to become good human beings.

Students undergo a structured Training Program in the form of Aptitude, Technical and Soft Skill Sessions. SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES

BIT offers upto 100% concession in fees to deserving students. These include students who are economically deprived and those who excel in sports, NCC, NSS and other extracurricular activities. Meritorious students will also be eligible for suitable scholarships. Those with CET rankings less than 1000 will be provided with 100% exemption from fees while those with rankings less than 5000 will be eligible for concessions upto 50% in fees. BIT also conducts its own talent hunt tests wherein students meeting the specified qualification are offered handsome concessions in fee.

Sports Facilities

BIT encourages its students to actively play sports and games while on campus. Facilities to play Volleyball, Basketball, Football, and Cricket are available. Indoor games like carrom, chess, and table tennis are also provided. Students are also encouraged to use the gym facility with imported equipment. BIT invites students from across India and abroad to experience the essence of a complete education.
