Bethlahem Institute of Engineering (BIE) a Top Class Engineering Institute in the Kanyakumari District, was established in the year 2008 with a vision to provide focused technical education to empower budding technocrats with technical and entrepreneurial skills so as to become globally competent. The Institution is managed by Nesamony Memorial Trust and Shri. Gerald Selvaraja, a great visionary and renowned entrepreneur in US is the Founder cum Chairman. The Trust started its academic journey with Bethlahem Matriculation School in the year 2002 and gradually added five more Institutions viz. Bethlahem College of Education (2006),Bethlahem Institute of Engineering (2008), Bethlahem Hillside International School (2017),Bethlehem New Central School (2018), Bethlahem College of Arts and Science (2019).

The Bethlahem Institute of Engineering is located on a sprawling 7.5 acre eco-friendly serene campus at Nadutheri, a hamlet which it is just 1 km from the Karungal Bus Station on the Karungal-Colachel Highway. It is 23 kms from Nagercoil, the Headquarters of Kanyakumari District and 52 kms from Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala state. The Institute can be reached by bus via Colachel and Thuckalay / Marthandam. The nearest Railway Station is Kuzhithurai West. About 80 percent of students are placed vide Campus Interview. The minimum salary package is 1 LPA to 2 LPA and the maximum is 3 LPA to 4.4 LPA. Admission Process

Admissions to the B.E./B.Tech programs are primarily conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling process. Candidates must have completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, securing a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for reserved categories). The application process involves registering on the official TNEA portal, submitting necessary documents, and participating in the counseling sessions. Additionally, 35% of the seats are reserved for the management quota, for which candidates can apply directly through the college's admission office.

Eligibility

• Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• Candidates with vocational subjects in Engineering/Technology are also eligible, provided they meet the above criteria.

M.E - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

For M.E. programs, candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech degree in a relevant discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). Admissions are based on the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) scores. Eligible candidates need to apply through the official TANCET portal, attend the counseling process, and complete the admission formalities upon seat allotment

Eligibility

• Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech. degree in a relevant discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH candidates).
• Candidates with an AMIE degree and two years of work experience are also eligible.

REPORT ON “CAREER GUIDANCE ON TNPSC AND SSC EXAMS”

The Placement and Training Cell hosted a career counseling program for third-year students on August 20, 2024, at 2:30 p.m., to provide thorough guidance on preparing for and succeeding in the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) and Staff Selection Commission (SSC) exams. The event began with a welcome address from Placement Coordinator Ms. Caroline Blessy, followed by a Felicitation address by Principal Dr. C. Emmy Prema. The session was conducted by Rev. Fr. James Amal Raj, South Coordinator of JDAX Academy, who emphasized the career opportunities these exams offer and shared resources and strategies for effective exam preparation. Students were advised to create a strategic study plan and utilize available resources to boost their chances of success. The program concluded with a note of gratitude by Ms. Viji Nirmala AP/IT.

A career counseling session on Career Paths in SEO and Digital Marketing

The Placement and Training Cell of Bethlahem Institute of Engineering organized a career counseling session on "Career Paths in SEO and Digital Marketing" for final-year students on November 20, 2024, at Smart Class II. The session was led by two industry experts: Mr. Zammy Zaif, Google Ranking Expert and CEO of BAMS Technologies and Mr. Max Milian Mathew, Founder & CTO of Spifix.Mr. Zaif shared his journey from a beginner in digital marketing to becoming a CEO and emphasized the importance of vision, problem-solving and innovation in leadership. Mr. Mathew discussed the key skills required for effective leadership in tech and digital marketing.The session not only enhanced the students' understanding of SEO and digital marketing but also inspired them to develop leadership skills crucial for their future careers.
