Overview

The idea to establish a business school was born in the mind of Prof.N.Ganesan, Founder and former Secretary of Bharath college of Science & Management, Thanjavur. His dream to create a Business School in Thanjavur fructified in August, 2007. This Business School was established by K.Nadimuthu Memorial Educational Trust, registered under the Indian Trust Act which runs reputed Institutions like Bharath College of Science & Management & Indian Institute of Catering Technology & Hotel Management. The dynamics of today’s global business environment alerts us the need for innovative skills for success. With a concern to this need, we provide theoretical learning along with practical training to the management students to structure them to face the challenging corporate world.

How to apply

TApplicants are requested to read carefully the rules of eligibility and other instructions given in the prospectus

A) Instructions for filling-up the application

1. The entries in the application form should be filled by the applicant in their own hand writing in ENGLISH.

2. Details of the Photocopies (Xerox) of the certificate submitted along with the application should be furnished in the relevant column of the application.

B) Enclosures to be sent along with the filled-in application form

The candidates have to submit photocopies of the following certificates duly attested by a Gazetted Officer along with the application form.

Five passport size photos
Two self addressed envelopes affixed with six rupees stamp

Selection Procedure:

BHARATH INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT desires to admit talented students to MBA programme and hence our selection process comprises 4 segments.

Segment I - Selection is based on one of the Common Admission Tests (CAT) / TANCET / Management Aptitude Tests (MAT) conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA).

Segment II - Call letters will be sent to individual students based on the scores obtained in TANCET / MAT, or other Common Admission Tests approved by AICTE.

Segment III - Written test / Group discussion

Segment IV - Personal interview by the panel

The Management tries to establish the facility shortly in the college premises for the benefit of the students.

Boys Hostel
A hostel facility is available for both boys. The Mess Bill will be under the dividing system.
Girls Hostel
A hostel facility is available for girls. The Mess Bill will be under the dividing system.
Library
The College Library is occupied with more than 4000 volumes of books including Dictionaries, Art Books, Journals, Magazines, and Encyclopedias. Books related to Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Catering Science, Hotel Management, Economics, Fashion Technology, Tamil, English, French, Hindi, etc are racked in our library. Also, various journals and Magazines related to the different disciplines are being subscribed to. This will update the knowledge of the students and staff members. Popular dailies both in English and Tamil are also subscribed to for the benefit of the students and faculty members.
Laboratories
Educational Technology, Computer Science, Psychology, Language, Science, and Mathematics laboratories are well equipped with gadgets.
I.T Infrastructure
The college enables the trainees to work in schools as teachers using technology in teaching and related work as well as for their own personal computer usage. Teacher trainees acquire skills in Photoshop, Pagemaker, and Corel Draw. Skills of Internet browsing, E-mail ID creation, file downloading, picture scanning, etc. Students are given intensive training in the above-said computer practicals.
Transport Facility
Frequent bus facilities are available from all parts of Thanjavur district and from the entire State of Tamilnadu to easily access and reach the College. The College Management is also providing a college bus facility to the Students and Staff members within the town.
