Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, one of the leading Engineering Colleges in Navi Mumbai, was established in 1990 under the eminent leadership of honourable Dr. Patangrao Kadam and is permanently affiliated to Mumbai University and approved by AICTE .

Bharti Vidyapeeth College of Engineering is renowned for  quality education leading  new folds of technical fields. With a progressive mission of “Social Transformation through Dynamic Education”, the institute is consistently striving for the holistic development of the students. We aim at imparting quality education to meet the needs of industry, profession and society; and to achieve excellence in teaching, learning and research. The major focus is to improve the academic performance of the students while emphasizing the building of a strong ethical character through co curricular and extra curricular activities. The college has devoted itself to train and develop budding technocrat. More than 2000 students and about 140 staff stepping ahead together to meet academic and professional excellence. Excellency of education is windowed by six branches i.e. Computer , Chemical  , Extc , IT, Instrumentation and Mechanical Engineering including Applied Science with well equipped laboratories in this WI-FI campus.

In a span of twenty five years the College has gained appreciation because of excellent infrastructure, well equipped laboratory facilities, enriched library, qualified faculty and hence the outstanding results of students.

During the last 56 years Bharati Vidyapeeth has made astonishing strides in the field of education, particularly, higher and professional education. Today Bharati Vidyapeeth conducts more than 156 educational units of various kinds’ right from pre-primary schools to postgraduate institutions and a full fledged professional university (BVDU).

Today, Bharati Vidyapeeth has its major campuses in New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Karad, Satara, and Panchgani and at quite a few other places. Bharati Vidyapeeth is probably the only organization from Maharashtra having its campus in the capital city of India. It is not in the urban areas alone that Bharati Vidyapeeth has started its institutions. Its schools and colleges have dotted rural areas and even the remotest tribal and coastal areas of Maharashtra.

Bharati Vidyapeeth runs more than 78 schools and 60 institutions of higher education, including those of professional education. Among these are colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurved, Homeopathy, Nursing, Pharmacy, Law, Biotechnology, Engineering, Management, Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Environment Science, Agriculture, Physical education and more. With a view to promote research activities and to create a research culture on its campuses, Bharati Vidyapeeth has established five specialized research institutes in the areas of Health Related Sciences, Biotechnology, Information Technology, Applied Chemistry and Social Sciences.

Dr. Patangrao Kadam subsequently expanded the scope of his activities and started many other institutions as its sister concerns. They include cooperative units of various kinds, several trusts, quite a few service institutions and even an orphanage.

The corporate office of Bharati Vidyapeeth is located in the prestigious area of Deccan Gymkhana in the city of Pune. Its 10 storied building, once the tallest in Pune, is a landmark of the city. Dr. Kadam has always put premium on the quality of education imparted to the students through the institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth. He has always emphasized that the students of Bharati Vidyapeeth should get updated and excellent education in a very hospitable and conducive atmosphere. So Bharati Vidyapeeth is very selective about the appointment of its academic staff. It provides enriched infrastructural facilities, well-equipped libraries and laboratories, well-developed and sprawling playgrounds and other amenities in its institutions. There is hardly any school or college of Bharati Vidyapeeth, which does not have its own building.
