Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College and Hospital, Pune was established in 1989 to meet the growing aspirations of the students to obtain professional education in the field of dentistry. Initially it was affiliated with the University of Poona but later on became a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University).

A highly interactive learning environment is a unique feature of the training programme. Students are provided basic training in basic medical and dental sciences, scientific literature, research and appraisal research methodology, biostatistics, evidence-based methods, computer applications, presentation skills and professional ethics. There are a large number of patients with varied pathology which our students get as clinical material. This gives them the confidence that is required to carry out independent speciality practice.

Admission Criteria

BDS Admission

Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College & Hospital offers a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree program at the undergraduate level. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to this course is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology as compulsory subjects and Mathematics or any other subject as optional along with English as a core. Candidates are additionally required to have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in PC&B/Biotech combined. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of NEET UG score.

MDS Admission 

Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College & Hospital offers a Master in Dental Surgery (BDS) degree program at the postgraduate level. The specializations offered under the MDS program include Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge, Periodontology, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Oral Pathology & Microbiology, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Oral Medicine & Radiology and Paedodontics & Preventive Dentistry. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the MDS program is a BDS degree from a dental college recognized by the Dental Council of India.

Application Process

• The applicant must fill the application form attached to the rear end of the information brochure.
  
• The application form must be filled by the candidate in his/ her own handwriting, using a ball pen.
  
• The applicant must attach latest passport-size colour photograph on the application form and cross-sign over it.
  
• Attach the Xerox copies of all the required documents along with application form.
  
• Send the application form along with a demand draft for the prescribed application fee to the institute’s admission office.
