Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Medical College, Pune when established in February 1989 was affiliated to Pune University. In April 1996, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune was granted Deemed status for its academic excellence and the medical college became a constituent unit of the deemed university.The Medical College and the attached NABH accredited multi-specialty, tertiary care Hospital and Research Centre with its expressions of modern architecture form a part of the scenic campus of Bharati Vidyapeeth Educational Centre at Dhankawadi, Pune. We are renowned for our academic and clinical excellence, accomplished faculty and state of the art infrastructure.

The College and the degrees offered are recognized by the National Medical Commission. The College is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools of the World Federation for Medical Education and FAIMER. Our students are eligible to appear for USMLE and PLAB examinations. Bharati Hospital has been awarded A+ grade by Government of Maharashtra under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana. The clinical laboratory of the hospital is NABL accredited and the Emergency Medicine Department, Blood Bank and Ethics committee are NABH accredited. Admission Procedure

BVMC Pune Courses are offered at UG, PG, Doctorate level. There are 54 courses offered at BVMC Pune. The courses are offered disciplines like Medical. BVMC Pune courses includes MBBS, M.D, M.S, M.Sc, DM, M.Ch, PG Diploma. Popular courses at BVMC Pune are MBBS, M.D, M.D.

Admission Criteria

MBBS Admission 

Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College offers admission to the MBBS program.For admission to the MBBS program, a candidate must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks aggregate in PCB and English from a recognised board.. The selection criteria for admission are based on NEET UG Scores. Candidates who clear the college's cut-off score will be invited for state-level counselling as part of the admission process. The total fee for the MMBS program at BVMC Pune is INR 1.18 Crore

MS/MD Admission

Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College offers admission to the MS/MD program. For admission to the MS/MD program, a candidate must have completed an MBBS degree from a recognised university with an aggregate of 55% marks. The selection criteria for admission are based on NEET PG Scores. Candidates who clear the college's cut-off score will be invited for state-level counselling as part of the admission process. The total fee for the MS/MD program at BVMC Pune ranges from INR 92 lakh to INR 1.34 Crore.

PG Admission 

BVMC Pune offers admission to the streams of Medical stream. The college offers 4 full-time postgraduate courses. To be eligible for MD, MS, or PG Diploma programs, candidates must have completed their MBBS degree from a medical college recognised by the Medical Council of India and should have also completed a one-year rotating internship after passing the MBBS examination. For admission to the MSc program, applicants must hold a B.Sc. or an equivalent degree in a relevant specialisation with a minimum of 50% marks. Meanwhile, candidates applying for the Master of Optometry (MOpt) program must possess a BOpt degree from a recognised university with at least 55% aggregate marks.

Placement

The college provides a comprehensive medical education with a mandatory 1-year rotatory internship for MBBS students after completing 4.5 years of study. While there is no direct placement drive, the college offers extensive internship opportunities at its teaching hospital, which is equipped with trained, practicing doctors. Students often secure positions in government and private hospitals post-graduation, with some opting for further studies.

Notably, past students have secured international packages of up to 36 lakhs and domestic packages of around 11 lakhs. The active placement cell facilitates various opportunities, including campus visits by top medical and pharmaceutical companies for recruitment. The Medical College has beautiful lush green campus and very good infrastructure, which is an excellent expression of modern architecture. Apart from the college and hospital building we have a canteen, separate UG and PG and intern hostels, animal house, gymnasium, playground, staff quarters, RHTC and UHTC campus.BVMC Pune provides separate boys’ and girls’ hostels for undergraduate students and separate resident facilities for students. The college has recently built two new hostels with all modern amenities, considering the current needs of the students. All the resident doctors of the college have been provided with well-furnished shared accommodation facilities. The hostel rooms are furnished with recreational facilities like TV, internet, indoor games facilities, etc. BVMC Pune has staff quarters for faculty members and non-teaching staff.The total built up area of the college is 23690.27 sq.mt. and that of the hospital is 33445.09 sq.mt. Rural Health Training Centre, Lavale has built up area of 2482.20 sq. mt. and Urban Health Training Centre at Sadashiv Peth is 232.25 sq. mt.
