Bheemanna Khandre Institute of Technology, Bidar was established in 1982 under the visionary leadership of Dr. Bheemanna Khandre, Freedom fighter & Ex. Minister in Govt. of Karnataka and with the holy blessings of Param Poojya Dr. Ma. Gha. Cha. Chennabasva Pattadevaru.  With over 40 years of presence in the Technical Education field, the Institute is marching forward under the dynamic leadership of Er. Eshwar Khandre, The Chairman BOG, Working President of KPCC, Ex. Minister of GoK and MLA of Bhalki Constituency.

The sprawling BKIT campus spreads over 35 acres of land having a built up area of 70000 m2.  The greenery and the ambiance of the campus keep the students cheerful and have enjoyable learning experience.  The college is located on the Bhalki-Humnabad Road, Bhalki, Bidar District, Karnataka.

The Institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and is approved by AICTE New Delhi. It is accredited by IE(I) and NAAC with B++ grade.

BKIT offers BE Degree programs in 8 Disciplines.  The PG programs include MTech in 2 disciplines and MCA. Doctoral Programs PhD is also offered in 7disciplines.  The Institute admits students under Government Quota, Management / NRI Quota as per terms and condition fixed by the Karnataka Government, VTU, AICTE, College Board of Governors, etc.  Eligibility for admissions to the courses is as follows:

• BE - Entrance test of COMED-K or AIEEE/JEE (Main) or any State Level Test or National Level Test.
• MTech - Candidate should have valid GATE score or PGCET qualified rank
• MCA - Writing of entrance test of PGCET of Karnataka or K-MAT or any National level test is compulsory.

The Infrastructure and facilities at BKIT is modern and well equipped and includes Big Library, Laboratories, Workshops, Drawing Halls, Seminar Halls, Lecture Halls, Digital Classrooms, Computer Centre, Departmental Computer Labs, Browsing Centers with broadband internet connectivity, separate Boys (3) & Girls (2) Hostels, Post Office & Bank, Wi-Fi, Canteen, Bank, Gymnasium, Sports facilities and Co-Operative store.  It also has very active and effective Training & Placement Cell, NSS, Student Welfare Office, EDP Cell, STEP, Consultancy Cell, Security & Vigilance, Local Guardian Scheme, etc.

Till date more than 11,000 students have passed out of BKIT and the alumni are successfully well- placed in enviable positions in several Blue chip organizations in India and abroad. Admission Procedure

Bheemanna Khandre Institute of Technology Bhalki Courses are offered at UG, PG, Doctorate level. There are 18 courses offered at Bheemanna Khandre Institute of Technology Bhalki. Admission Criteria

BE Admission

BKIT offers a four year BE program in five different specializations at the undergraduate level. The minimum eligibility for B.E is the candidate must have passed in PUC / Intermediate/ 10+2 with Minimum 45% marks in PCM and pass in English as one of the subjects.

M.Tech and MCA Admission

BKIT offers a three year MCA program and a two-year M.Tech program in four different specializations at the postgraduate level. The minimum eligibility for M.Tech. program is a candidate must have passed BE/ B.Tech with 50 % marks from VTU or any other university/institution or any other examination recognized as an equivalent examination in related branch/discipline. To apply for MCA program, Candidate must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks and done graduation with Computer Science / Computer Programming / Computer Applications/ Statistics / Mathematics from any recognized University by VTU.

Ph.D. Admission

BKIT offers Ph.D. program in four different specializations at doctoral level. Candidate must have passed ME/ M.Tech. with 50% marks from any university recognized by VTU, Belgaum.Candidate will be selected through VRAT (Visvesvaraya Research Aptitude Test) conducted by the University.

Placement

Knowledge alone is no longer enough to get ahead or to get a good job was the firm belief behind inception of T&P Cell back till 1993. Prime objective of functioning of T&P Cell is to assist, advise and train the student community empowering them to corporate requirements.

Cell aims to help students of BE, M.Tech & MCA for their career options to host range of information on inplant training, employment, personality development, soft skills & campus Placement including individual counseling. Cell regularly conducts career guidance programmes, employability enhancement training, personality development programme along with more important entrepreneurship awareness and development.

Enabling students to lace with the latest and update them to shape their career, Cell undertakes series of lecture session, group discussion, seminars and workshops to prepare resumes and other interview requirements so as to make up the core competencies of the individual. Cell constantly liaise with various private and public sector organizations with a view to update prospective employees and to make sure for campus recruitments. Time to time several memorandum of understanding (MOU) have been signed to meet industry expectations. T&P Cell is in constant touch with alumni in utilizing their expertise and to have better industry-institute interactions.

GATE awareness, LEAD and EAP as well as similar other programs as per requirement are organised on regular basis.

T&P Cell takes credit to establish & monitor TCS iON center for conducting online exams like RRB, RBI, SBI, LIC, UoM, etc as the only center of NK region, catering needs of neighboring states of Telangana& Maharashtra.

Scholarship  

Under Management Quota

a)Any student securing 90% and above marks in PCM or in aggregate or CET ranking between 1-20000 will be given Rs. 10,000/- Scholarship every year for the entire duration of the course.

b)Any student securing 85-89% marks in PCM or in aggregate or CET ranking between 20001-30000 will be given Rs. 7,500/- Scholarship every year for the entire duration of the course.

Any student securing 80-84% marks in PCM or in aggregate or CET ranking between 30001-35000 will be given Rs. 5000/- Scholarship every year for the entire duration of the course.

c)One can avail maximum benefits of Rs. 15000/-.

Facilities Offered @ Bheemanna Khandre Institute of Technology,Bhalki

The college campus including hostels is completely networked with WI-FI facilities where students, employees and others can utilize this facility.REC Bhalki has got local guardianship scheme from the very beginning where every faculty is assigned guardianship of 20 students.The concerned staff takes care of students under him/her in all aspects for proper growth and development of students. Meeting between local guardian and students is being conducted every week.

The College provides extensive facilities to students in various sports and games, both indoor and outdoor.

• The College provides a 325x300 mtr. play ground.
  
• An athletics stadium is being proposed and will come up in due course.
  
• Indoor game facilities to girl students are also provided in their hostel.
  
• The College has organized VTU zonal inter-college tournaments in Volleyball and Table Tennis.
  
• The College Cricket team has won the zonal tournament three times at University level.
  
• Both men's and women's teams have won the VTU zonal tournaments in Volleyball, Football and Table Tennis.
  
• Various cultural activities within the departments are organized regularly in the campus.
  
• Our cultural team has participated in VTU youth festivals and bagged many prizes.
  
• A full fledged Gymnasium is an added attraction.

The Health Center is managed by two doctors with assisting staff in college premises. All the students as well as employees and their family members are taken care of their health problems by the doctors. Also ambulance facility is available in college and hostels round the clock in case of emergency.REC Bhalki has got one post office and extension counter and ATM of State Bank of Hyderabad, Bhalki branch for the benefits of college students and staff.

The institute offers transport facilities covering nearby towns and villages. Buses are available for students and staff, ensuring convenient and safe daily commuting.
