Builders Engineering College (Autonomous) - BEC is a leading Engineering College in Tamil Nadu. The College is promoted by The Erode Educational Trust which was established by a group of Builders from Erode. The College commenced functioning in the year 2009. Shri. N. Ramalingam is the Chairman of the BEC. He is Director, Ramalingam Construction Company (Pvt) Ltd. He started BEC With a vision to educate and empower rural students, he has propelled BEC to international recognition through strategic development and robust stakeholder support. His leadership ensures that the students have the opportunities to evolve and succeed in a holistic environment. Shri. C K Venkatachalam is the Secretary of BEC. Builders Engineering College is spread over a humongous and massive 200 Acres of land at Mullipuram Post, Nathakadaiyur, Erode Road, Kangeyam, Tamil Nadu. Kangeyam is 13 Kms away from the College and Tirupur is at a distance of 41 Kms while the nearest Airport is Coimbatore at 75 Kms.

The College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The College is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and is also accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a high A+ Grading. BEC has been granted Autonomous Status by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. The College was ranked at No. 240 in the "Engineering" category by the INDIA TODAY Publication.

Admission Procedure

For undergraduate admissions, candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories). Admissions are primarily through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling, using the college's counseling code 2656. For postgraduate programs, candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks and must qualify in entrance exams like TANCET or CET.

• Admissions are conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling process.

Eligibility

• A pass with minimum average marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, as well as in related subjects, vocational theory, and practicals.
• Passed a diploma in any branch of Engineering / Technology with a minimum of marks as given below.
  
• Passed B.Sc Degree in any recognized University with a minimum of marks as given below and passed 10+2 examination with mathematics as a subject.

Admission Process

• Candidates must qualify in the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) or the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Consortium of Self Financing Professional Colleges.
  
• Shortlisted candidates may be called for further selection processes as per the institute's guidelines.

Eligibility

M.E.: Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.

MBA: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.

ERODE BUILDER EDUCATIONAL TRUST (EBET) SCHOLARSHIPS

AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFW)

Eligibility:

• Sons and daughters of parents whose annual income is less than Rs. 4.50 lakhs from all sources shall only be eligible under this scheme.
  
• All other fees except tuition fee will have to be paid by the candidate.
  
• Beneficiary student admitted under AICTE TFW scheme will not be allowed to change Institution / course under any circumstances.
