C Byregowda Institute of Technology is a Private Un-Aided Institute which was established in the year 2009. CBIT was promoted by C Byregowda Educational and Cultural Trust ® in the memory of great visionary the late Sri C Byregowda, Ex-Agriculture Minister, Govt. of Karnataka, in the year 2009.

CBIT campus is situated in a serene environment (which provides an ideal setting for learning and academic pursuits) spread over 18 acres of lush green surroundings on Kolar-Srinivaspur Main Road, Thoradevandahalli, Kolar, Karnataka. It is located just 5 km from Kolar city which is 60 km away from Bangalore.

The college is Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and Recognized by Government of Karnataka. CBIT has been approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi

Our Library was established in 2009, with a carpet area of 650 Sq. mtrs. The primary objective of the library is to support the academic fraternity by providing access to the physical and digital content. The library is equipped with comprehensive collection of books, journals, e-Journals, project reports pertaining to Engineering, Humanities and Management. All in-house operations like acquisition, cataloguing, classification, book transactions, email alerts, etc. are computerized. Library facilitates more than 11500 books, 100 Bound Volumes, 540 Project Reports, 45 Print Journals, 7767 Question Papers (PDF).

All the branches of engineering have state of the art laboratories, computers with latest configurations, licensed software, hardware sensors, motors, Machines to cater the hands-on experience to student.

The canteen caters to the food needs of both the staff and the students. The dining hall is adequately furnished with an area of 1500 sq.ft. Care is taken that the food offered is of good quality and nutritious.

The college has comprehensive hostel facilities for the students. The hostel is annexed with a kitchen, to provide food at protected and hygienic environment along with dining hall, which can accommodate around 100 students at a time. Healthy and nutritive food is served. A team of cooks and assistants work in the cooking section with a supporting team of house keeping section who maintain the standards to create a healthy and hygienic environment
