CSI Institute of Technology (CSIIT) is a Private, Self-Financed, Christian Minority, Co-Education Institute established in the year 1995 by the Church of South India (C.S.I) Kanyakumari Diocese which is a pioneer in the field of education and successfully running Arts and Science Colleges, Polytechnic Colleges, Industrial Training Institutes, Nursing College, Pharmacy College, Number of Primary and Higher Secondary Schools, Hospitals, Deaf and Dumb School, Blind School and Day Care Centers in Kanyakumari District. The CSIIT has been established for imparting high quality engineering education to the students. Its ultimate goal is to emphasize Christian moral values and to mould every student to become fit to face the challenges of advancing technology. Adv. CSIIT is located at Thovalai, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu and is on a 35 Acres campus which is part of the 100 Acres Campus. The Campus is green and extremely verdant and pristine with Coconut Groves spread across over a vast expanse adjoining the campus. It is a blissful atmosphere. Aralvaimozhi Railway Station is 4 Kms away from the College and Tuticorin Airport is 103 Kms away.

CSIIT has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the College and given it a rating of A+, The College is ISO 9001:2000 Certified. The College is ranked 7th in the Chronicle Engineering Survey and 68th among South Zone colleges, 36th in Anna University, and 42nd among Private Engineering Colleges.

CSIIT has academic programmes spread across various disciplines and has UG and PG courses leading to B.E/M.E/ B.Tech and M.Tech Degrees apart from MCA and MBA. CSI Institute of Technology has a very active and result oriented Placement and Training Cell for the benefit of the Students in helping them with Campus Recruitment at the end of their academic course. Admission Procedure

The TNEA counselling conducted by Anna University You must register for TNEA, submit your academic credentials, and attend the single‑window counselling for seat allocation; management‑quota seats follow the same eligibility but are offered directly by the institute.

Placement

This cell is headed by the Chief Placement and Training Officer Dr.D. Swaran Victrops Nagson. M.Com.,M.B.A.,M.Phil.,Ph.D., ably assisted by the department's placement officers. The primary role of the Placement and Training Cell is to secure placements for the students passing out from the college. This cell keeps close connection with various industrial establishments and conducts campus interviews.

Activities

Organises soft skill training programmes to improve self-esteem & Confidence level, and also develop better presentation & Communication skills.Efforts are being taken to help the students to face the placement norms by providing coaching in aptitude, conducting mock interviews and group discussions through guest lectures and experts.Placement cell also arranges practical training such as Industrial visits, Inplant training and project works,etc., which helps the students to acquire practical experience.

Library, the soul of education, actively performs the functions related to learning,teaching, research and generation of knowledge. Our library is modernized and equiped with digital resources. It is housed in a seperate building, providing necessary facilities in the form of print & digital media. It has an approximate collection of 30000 books, active subscribtion to 50 international and 100 national journals in all branches of engineering along with 125 technical and non-technical magazines. The library provides a calm and cozy atmosphere conducive to uninterrupted and concentrated reading.A dedicated information-acquiring center, equipped with 8 MBPS internet connectivity provides Internet facilities to the college. This helps in updating the knowledge and skills needed to meet the latest challenges of industrial and research organization.A well_furnished and hygienic canteen functions within the college campus to serve the needs of the students and staff. A variety of refreshment to suit the tastes of students and staff are available besides lunch. These are all provided at moderate rate.

Transport

Our College operates 24 buses which not only run across the length and breadth of Kanyakumari district but also to several places in near by Tirunelveli and Thiruvanathapuram district in the neighbouring state of kerala. It has also been planned to increase the frequency and reach of busses operating in the neighboring districts to make the college more accessible if and when the need arises. The existing routes also continue to be altered to cater to the needs of the ever increasing number of both staff and students.
