Establishment & Background

Cauvery College of Physiotherapy was established in 2017 under the Dr. Chandrashekar Foundation (R) as part of the Cauvery Group of Institutions. The institution was founded with the objective of producing competent physiotherapists through quality education, advanced clinical training, research, innovation, and ethical healthcare practice. The college focuses on developing healthcare professionals capable of meeting the evolving rehabilitation needs of society.

Students study Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Therapy, Electrotherapy, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy, Sports Physiotherapy, Community-Based Rehabilitation, Research Methodology, and Evidence-Based Physiotherapy. The college offers Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) comprising 4 years of academic study plus 6 months compulsory internship, and Master of Physiotherapy (MPT), a 2-year postgraduate programme with specialization and research opportunities.
